London is the capital of England and one of the world's leading financial, organisation and enlightening centres. As well as this, the city's influence on politics, education, amusement, media, fashion and culture make it a major global city.London has four World heirship locations, which are the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey and St. Margaret's Church, the Tower of London, outstanding Greenwich, and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew.



When, World War II, German bombs killed over 30 000 Londoners and destroyed legions houses and other frameworks across London. This was not to be the last time that London might be damaged by bombing.In fact, Irish Republican Army bombers disrupted the metropolitan area with bomb threats- and actual bombs- for myriads years until their 1997 ceasefire. More recently, the metropolis was struck by a series of coordinated bomb attacks in 2005, which were carried out by Islamic extremist suicide bombers on the city's public transport network on 7 July.

As it is the capital of England, London gasconades the most museums in the country. One of the best is the Science Museum, which is in South Kensington. The museum was established in 1857 and has over 300 000 exhibits, including Puffing Billy and Stephenson's Rocket.The metropolis has heaps of glorious galleries too, including the National Portrait Gallery.

London is influential for its shopping, so you will spot everything from quirky independent stores and markets, to designer stores.One of the city's greater famous stores is Selfridges, which is on Oxford Street. It was premier opened in 1909 by Harry Selfridge, who wanted to make shopping romping rather than a chore. He succeeded and the store now has four other branches in miscellaneous metropolitan areas all over the UK.

It goes without saying that the nightlife in London is among the utmost in the world. There are countless clubs, live music venues, exclusive bars, cosy public houses and Michelin starred restaurants to enjoy.The Met drinking house in the metropolitan Hotel is one of the city's larger prominent bars. The public house is so exclusive that it is members or hotel guests only after 6pm. The bar is very well-known with celebrities, so you could do some well known star spotting there.

As it is these a towering location, London is very easy to get to. In fact, it is well connected by rail and braggadocios some vast railway stations, including London Bridge, London Victoria, London Euston and Liverpool Street. As well as this, the conurbation also has three major airports, Heathrow; Stanstead and Luton.Driving in London can be tricky due to the congestion charge, but the urban place has a prominent underground and bus network to help humans get around.
