The inability to lose pregnancy weight fast is strongly correlated with how you deal with food and the kind of lifestyle you live. 1. Choosing to Eat Bad Foods

What's the quality of food in your kitchen? Check your cupboards, freezer and fridge. If you have a lot of canned goods, boxed meals or sugary cereals, white pastas or breads, frozen dinners, or any processed meats like hot dogs, your diet is too high fat, sugar and salt. Be a smart consumer and opt for more natural foods (fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish) or food products with more natural ingredients. Go for healthy processed foods such as fortified milk and fruit juices or frozen produce which, although frozen, still have their nutrients.

2. Fast Food Addiction

Do you frequent your favorite fast food restaurant for a quick and easy lunch or family dinner? Fast food tastes good and is convenient, but is it worth sacrificing your health for the sake of convenience? One way to cut back on frequenting the fast food restaurants is to buy fresh food and cook at home. 1. Weight Training

The type of strength training that works to strengthen your lost muscle mass is called resistance training. It essentially increases muscle density and hence makes your muscles lean. Resistance training requires simple equipment such as an exercise ball, dumbbells or cable weight machines. You can also use your body weight to do lunges or squats to work your muscle groups. Strengthening your muscles will increase your metabolism and your ability to burn the baby fat more quickly.

2. Perform Compound Exercises

In order to maximize your body's ability to burn the baby fat, you have to recruit as many muscle groups as possible. Compound exercises do just that. It is a form of exercise that engages several muscle groups and this increases the demand for more energy and therefore burns more fat. Doing lunges with dumbbells, for example, works the muscle groups of the leg, back, arms and buttocks.

3. Aim for a Full Body workout

Muscles work in groups of two. Thus to burn the baby fat quickly, you need to aim for a full body workout. You can accomplish this by dividing up your workout into exercising your upper body and your lower body. By doing this you will keep your metabolism rate working in the fat burning zone. And once more, since you are stimulating many muscle groups, you will lose the pregnancy weight by burning more calories.

4. Maintain your Rest and Reps low

Performing each exercise at maximum intensity with brief recovery intervals is the quick and efficient way to tone your muscles and trim your tummy. Studies have shown that lean muscle formation is stimulated by performing each exercise between 8 to 12 reps and to have a rest of 30 to 60 seconds between each set of exercise. Therefore, you will have the advantage of a workout that burns more calories and does so in less time.

5. Reduce your Cardio

Only focusing on cardio as the answer to losing the baby fat will leave you frustrated and getting nowhere fast. Cardio burns calories, as does any form of exercise. What you have to realize is that cardio works on building your heart and leg muscle endurance.

Cardio should be done in moderation especially if your focus is getting a lean, toned body. It is muscles that burn fat. Therefore, although Cardio does burn calories it will not do so for the long term.

The sound way to approach your pregnancy weight loss is to strive to live a healthy lifestyle. This includes eating right, exercising regularly and taking care of your mind and soul. Lifelong weight management involves the whole person and not just their body fat. However, by executing these five strategies you can lose your tummy and move yet one-step closer to wellness.
