Magnetic Therapy For Arthritis

    View:
An effective method in arthritis pain relief is the use of magnetic bracelets. Such bracelets are intended to stimulate circulation as well as augment the quantity of oxygen in affected parts of the body to lessen inflammation.

In essence, arthritis prevents blood flow in the affected parts of the body, thus impeding circulation and progressively reducing the quantity of oxygen in and around the afflicted parts.

Magnetic bracelets, which are essentially negative magnets, improve blood circulation in the affected regions which have a positive polarity. Thus, enhanced circulation allows higher levels of oxygen to enter the afflicted areas and effectively lessens the inflammation. The result is that arthritis pain is considerably reduced.

Magnetic therapy and magnetic bracelets have been popular for a long time, but only recently acknowledged by modern science as a reliable anti-pain method.

British researchers recently evaluated the effectiveness of bracelets with varying magnetic fields – some were asked to use strong bracelets, others were given weak bracelets, whereas another group was asked to wear “dummy" or placebo bracelets without any magnetic field. After a twelve week period, it was shown that the strong magnetic group reported a significant pain relief, whereas the weak and placebo groups experienced only slight or no pain relief. Such results indicate that magnetic bracelet use can reliably relieve arthritis pain, provided that the bracelet used has an adequately strong magnetic field (170-200 Tesla).

In spite of the lack of definite evidence, magnetic bracelets are increasingly accepted in the United States and in most other western countries such as the UK and Australia. In the late nineties, overall magnetic bracelets sales reached 5 million dollars. This is a quite reasonable figure, as there are over a million arthritis cases in Britain alone. These days, there has also been a significant rise in the use of alternative non-western techniques in addressing pain and different health conditions.

Before you decide to use magnetic bracelets, however, you are advised to ask a doctor before proceeding. You should not forget any prescribed medications and/or other treatments and substitute them totally with magnetic therapy, unless a physician tells you to do so. Such bracelets must also be avoided at all cost if you happen to be pregnant, wearing a pacemaker or electronic implants, or presently using heating pads or electric blankets.

Keep in mind that there are various techniques for alleviating arthritic pain, and none should be eliminated completely. A number of treatments may continue to be reliable in controlling symptoms even while using magnetic bracelets.

A major benefit of using these bracelets is that they are reasonably priced. Additionally, such bracelets are non-intrusive and don’t cause any adverse side effects as do other chemical techniques. You have nothing to lose in using magnetic bracelets for arthritis management. Unquestionably, your $30-$100 for 1 bracelet will be well spent.

These bracelets are still a popular option, as more users are praising their efficiency. In addition, medical data have revealed tangible proof that magnetic therapy does work in treating arthritis pain. So, if you’ve been enduring arthritic pain for a long time, these bracelets can be the solution you have been looking for.
Magnetic Therapy For Arthritis
Magnetic Therapy can be used for a variety of different ailments and is utilised by a large number of practitioners. One of the leading ways that magnets are used is for the treatment of arthritis. This article will give you some basic information about arthritis and how magnetic therapy can help it.

What is Arthritis?

There are many different forms of arthritis but the thing they all have in common is pain in the joints. This may cause swelling, redness or pain in your joints caused by disease in the joints.

One of the most common forms is Rheumatoid arthritis. This can affect all parts of the body but usually starts with swelling and redness of the joints. It can also cause sufferers to feel sick and excessively tired. This is something that people can suffer from at a young age and may last for only a short time. It may also be something that people suffer from flare ups where the symptoms are bad for a short time and then subside, only to come back at another time.

The most common form is osteoarthritis which usually appears as people get older. This is usually caused by damage to the cartilage that covers the end of the bone at the joint. As this gets damaged the two bones will often rub together causing pain and stiffness.

Magnetic Therapy and Arthritis

Magnetic Therapy can be very a very effective form of treatment for all types of arthritis. The main reason for this is that magnets can be used to reduce inflammation. This is done because placing magnets on the area of pain will draw oxygenated blood to that area. It will also have an effect on damaged cells by causing them to realign their ions to the correct position. This stops the cell damage and begin releasing the excess fluid in the damaged cells. Then over a period of a few days the cells will begin to repair and release the pressure on the nerves.

When you reduce the inflammation this will help to alleviate the symptoms of arthritis that include swelling, pain and stiffness. Although this will not cure arthritis as there is no known cure you will find that it is an extremely effective pain relief treatment.

It is worth mentioning that it can be difficult to treat someone who has arthritis in more than one location. The reason for this is that for the best effect the magnet should be placed on the area causing you pain. So if you have arthritis in more than one place you may find it best to have a device for each area and wear them all at the same time.

There are various different types of treatments however the most effective would be to wear a magnetic strap around each area of pain. This is very effective but may be uncomfortable in itself. If you find it difficult to wear magnetic straps then an alternative would be to wear magnetic insoles and 2 magnetic bracelets. You would need to make sure that these are extra strong magnets to ensure they work. Another alternative would be to use a magnetic mattress to sleep on.

For magnets to be truly effective they should be worn continually, day and night until the symptoms have gone. So remember to find something that you find completely comfortable wearing, otherwise you could end up not getting the true benefits of magnets.
