...and that's also why they just won't cut it in the internet marketing world!



I don't mean to sound harsh but let's deconstruct the title of this piece, pretty simple really. People want to make money, like, yesterday and they want to do it without spending any money themselves.

Sorry, but it just doesn't work like that.

However, it really isn't too hard to make huge dollops of cash online if your mindset is right and you're prepared to put in a bit of work...

Along the way, you're going to need certain tools to help you along and you shouldn't begrudge paying for these if you're building a buisness. You may need a Wordtracker subscription for example, someone to write articles for you or you may need cash to submit a press release.

Now, we all want things to be free but if you're going to make a great deal of money in the long run then be prepared to splash out a little initially (always be wary of what I call "scam" products however!)

So, how to go about making money online? I'll give you a simplified version of how I go about it...

Find a niche - it always begins with this. Find a market where you are solving a problem if possible - say depression, asthma or how to build a garden shed (you get the idea!)

Create a "squeeze" page - this is one page full of great copywriting (that's a whole other subject in itself but learning how to write great copy is a marvellous asset to your business) which will compel your visitors to sign up to your mailing list.

Write at least 100 articles - do keyword research for high traffic, low competition keyword phrases (I use Wordtracker) and then submit them to article directories. Don't forget to include a link to your squeeze page in the author bio! Very important!

Autoresponder messages - now queue up a bunch of irresistible autoresponder messages pointing your mailing list to great content on your own site, affiliate products and eventually your own product.

That's pretty simplified obviously, but really that's all you need to start building your fortune on the net. Just don't expect to be making millions by this weekend or to get by without spending a dollar. This is your business and it's worth the initial effort so... go to it!
