To start off with, before you apply any makeup to your face you will need to be in ownership of a good make of cleanser, toner and moisturiser. For those of you that are unfamiliar of what these selection of products do, I will now tell you. The cleanser fundamentally removes dirt, oils, makeup and any other types of bacteria from your face. The toner fundamentally gets rid of anything that the cleanser has overlooked including getting bacteria out of the pores of your face which are accessible only after you have cleansed; it also restores the pH levels of your skin. Ultimately the moisturiser seals in all the natural oils and prevents it from being damaged by the environment. So in summary, this process it keeps your skin feeling clean, healthy looking and good for the long-term.



After finishing the above steps you will be all set to begin the process of applying your makeup. First and foremost equip yourself with your mineral powder, liquid or pressed powder foundation. It is imperative that you don't just wipe this on in any old way, only use a little amount and dab it on your forehead, cheeks and chin. As soon as you have finished this begin to blend the foundation dots by using a spherical movement gradually working outwards till the lines have become invisible.If you have any spots, pimples or other blemishes I advise the use of a concealer as these can do wonders hiding any imperfections.

Now that has been done you can start to build on it by using a blusher which is great for showing your cheeks off. Using a blusher is a great way to bring out a beaming shine on your cheeks. By doing this you need a good quality brush because it can go dreadfully wrong with a low quality brush that isn't structured correctly, so make sure your brush is effective for the job in hand. To apply blusher simply smile so the apple of your cheeks are clearly seen, then apply a small amount of powder onto your blusher brush and stroke it on each apple of your cheek then blend the colour in.

Following on from the above we can now look at applying eye makeup to your look. Eye makeup can contrast for certain occasions, by this I mean day wear, party wear and evening wear. For this step we will use evening wear as this is most likely the most popular. For evening wear it is ideal to stick with stylish and warm colours such as browns, champagnes and gold's. To start off with I would apply black eyeliner which will give a striking, dramatic look and effect to each of your eyes. Then use your selection of eye shadow colour and apply it carefully. Last but not least use some black mascara to finalise the look of your eyes and remember to keep this stage simple and don't cause yourself any problems.

To complete your overall look before you venture out to wherever you are going to, don't forget lipstick. Hang fire before you put lipstick on though, firstly I would advise outlining your lips with either a lip pencil or a lip liner, also check that the colour of this liner closely resembles that of the lipstick you want to use or else it will look odd. For example if you have a light shade of pink lipstick I wouldn't use a dark coloured lip line colour because as you can picture it will look completely silly! So once your lips have been lined apply your lipstick carefully then blend in the lined effect to complete your overall look.
