Everyone who plays online poker wants to win, but just like any game, there are losses too. How you handle your bets would surely give the other players a mine of information on the cards in your hand. Players with strong hands usually raise their bets, and those with weaker cards would usually fold or surrender. Whatever betting decision you make, be specific and deliberate. Keep on betting if you do not want to call or fold. If you will not, it will give the other players a clue on your lack of confidence with the strength of your cards. Some players would show superficially the opposite of how they really feel about their cards, which would constitute bluffing. Most online poker players though do not and cannot control their reactions to their cards.

Acquire the skill to tell and read each of your competitors individual betting and decision patterns. When you see the apparent distress, go for the poker bonus that is if your cards warrant one. Listen to the tone of their voices because they might be good with facial expressions but incapable of controlling their voice.

Ideally it is better to sit on a position that is after the tight or strong players and before the loose or weak ones.

If it is possible for you to do this during an online poker player, do it. This will make you capitalize on the fact that your actions would come after the decisions of the stronger opponents who cannot do any counterattack on the tactic you might employ. This will give you an upper hand over them. Being seated before weaker players is very advantageous because their ineptness or lack of expertise would cripple them to undermine your strategy.
