While growing up as a child in the caribbean I was interested in many different things just like any normal child. I remember being interested in music, creating my own toys, sports, I loved cricket with a passion. Anywhere there was a cricket match I would find myself there. I would be sitting at the dinner table and if I heard my friends playing I would leave that dinner right there just to go and play a game of cricket.
In those days my parents and other adults didn't look at the little things that we were engaged in to be of any importance, they couldn't see any relation to what we were doing and what we were supposed to be doing. They could not envision that our little activities could one day lead us to success in an online marketing business. We were encouraged forcefully, sometimes getting whipped to stop us from indulging in the activities that we enjoyed doing.
Now mind you, they had good intentions. They wanted us to pay attention to our school work. Remember the saying? "Go to school... get a good education so that you'll be able to get a good job when you grow up." Very noble indeed. But was this upbringing really doing justice to our growth and development as a child, or was it just giving them the satisfaction of saying that they had done a good job as a parent?
Throughout my years I've seen many success stories. I've also seen many who have failed to find their purpose, failed to reach that pinnacle of success that they might have anticipated. Maybe you have failed to reach your ultimate goal of finding true success with your online marketing business. Now is this because you didn't get a good education, you're not working hard enough, or you weren't brought up properly?
What I find is that most of the success stories bring to fruition some passion or some idea that came about during childhood. These ideas sometimes lay dormant for many years; however, sooner or later they come to the surface and when they do its just a matter of time before that idea takes on a life of its own.
There are many case studies over the years that have highlighted the previous statement. Famous sports personalities, professional athletes, actors, musicians, entrepreneurs and others have been telling their stories about their childhood dreams from as long as we can remember. "The emerging of the missing link." Its like they were born to do just that.
Now, do every successful person had their start from childhood? Maybe not; But if you're struggling to find that missing link in your life, to find what makes you tick, what brings out that fire from within, then I would suggest that you revisit those childhood days. Play back those old records of time, search within the hidden portals of your mind, and, perhaps you might just find that missing link that that could lead you to success in your online marketing business.
A word of caution here! Some of you might not want to relive those days. There might be instances in your life that you would rather not remember. DON'T dwell on the negatives. Relish the memories that inspire you, that make you feel good, the happy moments that brings a smile on your face and guess what? You might just find the missing link that could literally set your online marketing business on fire and give you the success that you so richly deserve.
I would also like to encourage you parents to give your kids the freedom to explore their childhood fantasies. As a friend of mine once said, "Encourage your child to dream big." You never know what great idea or invention is just lurking below the surface, preparing to emerge, and if not allowed to bloom, could be lost forever.
Missing Link Found Ida
* more subscribers
* more traffic to Web sites and blogs
* higher sales of products and services
* influence and respect in chosen industry/niche
That is all great, but if you don't have a link at the bottom of your article where people can find out more about you there's really no point in writing and distributing the article at all.
In fact, this one key element – having a Web site – is a major barrier to some people who want to gain access to all the great benefits of article marketing but just don't have the time, money or expertise to publish their own Web site.
I found a solution to this problem and it's one of the easiest and most hassle-free ways I've found to implement the last piece in the article marketing puzzle.
*** Create a blog. ***
You can use the URL or web link, from the blog you create and put it into your articles. This is actually better than a normal Web site because people can leave comments on your blog. This shows that people are engaged and interested in what you're saying and offering.
It is very easy to do. And it costs you absolutely nothing.
1. Visit www.blogger.com.
I've used this service to create several blogs and it's always been a hassle-free experience for me. Each year they make the service easier and easier to use.
2. Follow their steps for creating a no-cost account on their service.
Blogger makes it very easy to create one of these. All you really need to do is just follow the steps they tell you and you're done. You don't need a programmer or a techie person to help you out with this one.
3. Enter information about your business in the blog.
I suggest posting short, informative pieces of information about you and your business. I call them mini-article. You can also post your full articles on the site as well. If you have a large group of articles like I do, you may want too space out those articles and only post a few a week.
4. Place the URL from the blog you just created in the resource box that you include in each of your articles.
OK, if you're wondering what a URL is, it's very simple. It's the Web address that Blogger.com will give you for your site.
After completing these easy steps you'll have no barriers to entering article marketing.
Let's review:
Here's what you put in:
* writing an article
* distributing to article directories
* creating a blog for link-backs
o Cumulative cost: $0
Here's what you get out:
* larger list of subscribers
* more influence in your industry
* more visitors and comments on your blog
o Value: Priceless
Keep in mind: Blogs are better because they allow others to say how great your articles are. When new visitors come to your site they'll be influenced by previous comments and leave good words of their own. Once you have this set up you'll be able to concentrate fully on writing info-packed articles that truly benefit your target audience/niche.
This isn't a commercial for Blogger.com, but it really is the easiest way to set up a blog. If you want to try out a few other services consider: www.wordpress.org
I use Word Press for one of my other blogs and I like them, too. I did need a bit of help setting this one up. But in the end it was well worth it. See for yourself: http://www.articlemarketingformula.com/blog
