Who needs a friend when there's so much to be found?
With the children all snug away alone in their beds;
Happily playing with visions of death scenes filling their heads.
Laptops, television and computer game boxes at hand;
Parents don't need a babysitter, there is no demand.
No longer are they children, but miniature adults;
Being thrust into a world filled with lust and cults.
The family table holds nothing but dust;
And the living room center is no longer a must;
In a house that no longer holds family traditions.
Sharing family stories isn't an appealing addition;
A night with a storybook, who needs to read out loud;
With books that read for you, two is a crowd;
Social skills are lacking in a solitary world of confinement;
Manners aren't necessary, no need to refine them.
Then suddenly one year Cyber Space disappeared;
And the roar from the crowd could be heard far and near.
Suddenly people didn't know what to do;
And sitting alone, they each cried boo hoo.
As each day passed the crowd thought the end was here;
But Cyber Space was lost, and didn't reappear.
Slowly the isolated crowd came together;
To share their thoughts, not talk of the weather.
Having not seen a human in quite a long time;
They struggled to find at least a few ties that bind.
The elders came out of their bedrooms with care;
To share how it used to be and to compare.
How the family unit was today versus then;
And what fun they would have with just paper and pen.
A time when the family played games on a board;
And the family table held more than power chords.
When camping meant fires, guitars and no phones;
And being on vacation didn't mean faxes and ring tones.
When family and friends were cherished, not a commodity;
And talking with your neighbor was more than an oddity.
With Cyber Space gone everyone decided to give it a try;
This old-fashioned way, when the Internet didn't apply.
At first it was hard, no one knew what to say;
But soon it caught on and for more than a day!
Suddenly the violence so often on the street;
Calmed down to a hush and thuggery saw defeat.
No longer was it necessary to lock all your doors;
Visiting with family was no longer a chore.
Family and friends now gathered all the time;
To share special moments without any crime.
When Cyber Space was restored and crept back inside;
The parents cried no, you could hear it worldwide!
So with careful discretion they allowed its use;
But with strict supervision and no way to abuse.
And so without all the clamor or deafening cries;
The world became better, no one could deny.
Cyber Space is an asset to that I confess;
But without limitations, it leads to a mess.

Moral Values For Children
Pluto is the planet of extremes and powerful transformations, and Saturn is the planet of organization, discipline, ambition, and hard work. The last time this aspect occurred was 1996 - 1997. During that time Bill Clinton won his second term as president, the unibomber was arrested and convicted, O.J. was found liable in his civil suit, and the Heaven's Gate cult committed mass suicide. It looks as though people were standing by their convictions rather strongly at that time, even some chose to die for them.
When these two planets work together it can deepen concentration and increase our ambitions. Self-confidence will increase, and hopefully our principles will too. Saturn and Pluto are slow outer planets, so aspects between them will affect us more on a community level rather than on a personal. We may see corporate or even governmental changes during this time.
When the trine occurred back in 1996, they were both in fire signs, Pluto in Sagittarius, and Saturn in Aries. Pluto is still in Sagittarius, but Saturn has moved all the way to Leo. They are both in fire signs again, but Leo is a fixed sign and Sagittarius is mutable. We don't have any cardinal signs to initiate change, so we may find that this time will not be as dynamic as 10 years ago. We may decide this time to hold fast to what we know, and use this energy to strengthen our beliefs. But, we still have to be on guard for fanaticism. Its really not worth dying for.
When this aspect begins on October 12, Mars, the Sun, and Venus, will be centered between Saturn and Pluto and they will help to bring this influence to a more personal level. But, at the same time, Jupiter will be at a square to Saturn creating mood swings and indecision. We may be ready to make some changes around the house or office. It will definitely be a good time for getting organized. But, we could also find that our luck is gone, or we may encounter some tremendous loss. Because Pluto is at a positive aspect, it will probably bring us to a better place in the long run. You can read my article about Jupiter Square Saturn at:
After October 25, Saturn and Pluto will move to a more subconscious level and will go back to affecting us more as a society. But then, from about the middle to the end of November, the Sun, Venus, Mars, and Mercury will all move to challenge Saturn. We may find our relationships, conversations, finances, energy, all restricted during this time. Saturn will turn retrograde on December 5, and after that all should wind down rather quickly and free us up to celebrate the holidays. But, Saturn will be back in July 2007 to do it again, and I will most definitely have more to say then.
Saturn will be from 23 to 25 degrees Leo, and Pluto will be moving from 24 to 27 degrees Sagittarius. Check your natal chart. If you have any planets between 21 and 29 degrees in Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus, this aspect may be more difficult for you. Which natal planet in your chart being affected will determine what aspect of your life it will upset. Also, check your houses to see what areas will be affected.
