Even the AVENUE Q puppets performed their initial shows in the Vineyard Theatre of Off-Broadway.

Off-Broadway also holds quite a few interactive shows of the Blue Man Group, which has now gained fame in Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston and Berlin, which had begun its journey from here. Off-Broadway is also the home of many artists involved with theatre. For this reason one can easily claim that Off-Broadway is the heart of American Theatre.

The biggest of the Off-Broadway theatres is in New World Stages on the 340 West 50th St., between 8th and 9th Avenues.
