Most Annoying Alarm Clocks

    View:
I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like alarm clocks. I'd love to wake up each morning looking as vibrantly refreshed as the women in Lunesta ads. I don't. I wake up looking like I need sleeping pills instead of my morning vitamins. When my eyes finally open, I see the bathroom scale staring back at me with its one eye. Thankfully, my scale doesn't talk; but it doesn't express empathy either.

Because John and I have home offices, you'd think we could avoid rush hour traffic. Wrong. Our rush hour traffic involves the shower, the newspaper and the telephone. The only way I've found to avoid rush hour traffic is to take time to empty the dishwasher or fold laundry, but that seems a bit desperate.

Desperate is what I feel when I have to shop for clothes. When a saleslady asks how I'm going to accessorize the outfit I just bought, I ask for help. If I had to accessorize my outfits, I'd be arrested by the fashion police for being an accessory to a crime.

I haven't been arrested, but I've gotten parking tickets. Considering Southern California had less than four inches of rain this year, my windshield wipers were used to hold parking tickets.

Thankfully, I don't have to use a sewing machine or an RV. If I had to sew my clothes, I wouldn't be able to get out of the house; and if I had an RV, I wouldn't be able to get out of cooking and cleaning.

I'm at that time in my life when I can't get out of having my hair colored. If God hadn't rested on the seventh day, I'd be a natural blond. Of course, if John hadn't rested on the seventh day, the garage door would be fixed.

I wish the world's problems could be fixed without guns. When my boys were growing up, they couldn't have toy guns. Instead, they shot each other with pointed fingers. Thankfully, as they grew up, they got the point.

They also got a dog. Occasionally I've forgotten to feed Zachary or take him out. Occasionally he's been tripped over or had to wear reindeer antlers. In spite of that, he still sleeps by my feet - and by my bed and in my car. Maybe leading a dog's life has advantages. Dogs don't have to deal with alarm clocks.
Most Annoying Alarm Clocks
When you speak of alarm clocks, you would definitely conjure images of those steel rounded small clocks that you put on your bedside table. You adjust it to your predetermined wakeup time, only to hit the Snooze when you do not want to rise. Alarm clocks are sort to be manual and very simple. Besides telling you the time, they just provide that annoying noise that forces you to start your day or night.

However, alarm clocks have evolved and have used whatever new technology and concept is available. You no longer have to content yourself with the common alarm clocks. There are already a lot of them that you can choose from.

MP3 Alarm Clock

You know how annoying alarm clocks, right? They produce that unceasing ringing sound. If you keep them closer to the ears, there is a huge chance that you will feel your eardrums bursting. In fact, some of them are just too loud that they can also wake up those who are sleeping in other bedrooms. Moreover, because the sound is pesky, you could actually start your day wrong.

Avoid getting up grumpy. You can get yourself an MP3 alarm clock. This revolutionary timepiece can contain wide variety of sounds in MP3, MIDI, and WAV, and MPG. If you want to start the day with a lot of energy, store in danceable and rock tunes. On the other hand, if you want to be more laid-back and relaxed, there are plenty of classical and instrumental songs that you can put in to the alarm clock.

Furthermore, the MP3 alarm clock can act as your own secretary. You can customize it to contain all your appointments, meetings, and dinners to special occasions. You can determine the time for it to alarm.

You can download the sounds for your MP3 alarm clock online. If you have some songs stored into your iPod or MP3 player, you can move them to your timepiece.

White Noise Alarm Clock

There are an infinite number of sounds around you. Several of them you cannot even hear because of their very high or very low frequency. There are also noises that penetrate your ears. When you are sleeping, you could be hearing the sound of the electric fan or your air-conditioner, the strong wind, and creaking of the bed every time you move, and a lot more. Noise can be very distracting, and worse, it prevents you to hear the sound of the alarm clock. It is no wonder therefore that you are late for school or work again.

Fortunately, you have an incredible solution to it: white noise alarm clock. You can think of it as a prism where light passes through. If you have different sets of colors that go through a prism, they form white light. With white noise alarm clock, the sounds of varied frequencies are put together until what you can hear is just one sound. This way, there is only one noise that is being processed by your brain.

Hanging Alarm Clock

Now this one is perfect for the chronic Snooze Button hitter. If it is getting a lot harder for you to wake up, simply because you keep on adjusting the time, then you better try using this prototype from a student project.

The concept is very simple: you should hang the alarm clock on top of your ceiling. Every time that you are going to hit the Snooze button, the timepiece moves up, until you can no longer reach it, and you will be forced to keep it quiet by getting up.

Online Alarm Clock

Do you love to work at night but always end up falling asleep on your table? If you think that there is an important job to be done, and you should not be sleeping in the first place, access an online alarm clock. There are a lot of them, and they come in various features. Some could just allow you to set your determined time, while others can even act as your own electronic reminder. You can create a to-do list, and the online clock sets an alarm every time you need to accomplish something at a certain period.

With so many alarm clocks to pick, surely, there is no more excuse for you to go back to bed when it's time to be up and about.
