Mothers Should Stay Home

In today's society more than 50% of traditional families have both partners working outside the home. This is not a topic we had given much thought to considering that two incomes are surely better than one. However, one of our customers asked the Coaches Corner on the BUDGETkeeper SYSTEM website for some guidance. That prompted us to do a little research and we were surprised at the information that we found.

After gathering information on childcare costs in our customer's geographical area, we were astounded to find that it is very expensive to have a pre-school aged child in daycare full time. We also learned that most daycare centers require a long-term commitment. You cannot pay as you go either daily or weekly. Most children are dropped off around 7:30 am and picked up around 5:30 pm, that's 10 hours a day. Is the net pay you get after all your childcare costs even worth it? Couples need to do the math. 1) Is the net amount of additional income really worth having our child in daycare?

2) Is there anything we can cut back on to make up the difference of the lost income if one of us stays home?

3) Will we be ok mentally/emotionally having a stranger caring for our child most of the time?

4) Will the 4 plus years of absence from the workforce drastically affect my status upon returning to work?

5) Is there any work from home opportunity that I can pursue for additional income that will not interfere with my duties as a stay-at-home parent?

After our reader did the math and reviewed these 5 questions with his spouse they were able to make an informed decision that made sense to them. In the process they were also able to find ways to save about $25 every month. With the extra money they opened up a college savings account for their child.

Mothers Should Stay Home

1. A person can always earn money by doing things for other people. People will pay you to do things because they do not know how to do them themselves, or because they do not have time to do them.

One great example is writing, it offers a great opportunity to make money online. The Internet is a convenient way for people to do research. Therefore, the Internet businesses that make the most money are the ones that can provide the most useful information.

Many people cannot come up with ideas to keep their website or blog current so they're willing to pay someone like you to do it for them. You can literally earn a full-time income with your own stay at home mom business just writing.

2. Businesses are rewarded by the search engines for having back links to their site from other sites. This is one way that the value of the site can be determined.

One way to create back links is by doing things like making blog comments, posting in forums, hanging out in social networks and so on. You can run a profitable stay at home mom business just by doing these kinds of things for other business owners.

3. Blogging is extremely popular right now, and you may want to consider starting your own blog. Ways that you can make money blogging include adding affiliate marketing banners of your own to your blog, adding links to products you sell within the blog articles themselves, and selling advertising to other blog owners on your blog.

You can also earn some extra money by posting Google Adsense ads on your blog. You'll be rewarded each time a visitor follows one of those links from your blog.

4. Some of the people who are most successful at making money with a stay at home mom business have learned one valuable point. They do what they enjoy the most and they outsource the rest.

If you can get your stay at home mom business to the point where you are making enough money by perfecting just one form of marketing, then you'll be set up to earn a fortune. Not only that but you will look forward to getting up in the morning, and work will be a pleasure!

5. One final point to emphasize is that you should not rest on your laurels once you have succeeded in one area. Your ultimate aim as regards your online business should be to create multiple streams of income. The worst thing you can do is put all your eggs in one basket when it comes to making money online.

You certainly want to focus on getting one idea, or one website, profitable, but then be sure to add another one, and then another one and so on, to protect your financial investment and augment your profits.
