Today, a lot of people rent films on a regular basis. Typically we all wait to rent the box office hits, in preference to seeing the film at the cinema. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD's in Oct. 2008.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana is back in action, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones series. In this, the latest adventure, An older Indiana takes on the Russians. Now, the chase is on for the Crystal Skulls, which are thought to have secret powers.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ben Garvey, once a bad boy criminal, has turned the corner. With a loving wife and child, and steady paycheck, life is going in the right direction. Then, he loses his job, and reverts to his old life of crime. The heist is a complete failure, and he is sentenced to death. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Shockingly, he isn't dead, but is in a mental hospital. He now is in a battle for his sanity, and his soul.

LINEWATCH: Mr. Michael Dixon is a well seasoned boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Eventually, his past is coming back to haunt him. He was a member of the violent L.A. gang scene, but he had the courage to leave. When a chance encounter exposes his whereabouts to his old gang, his family is put in great danger. For the sake of his family, he will take a huge risk, and ensure that the gang can bring a big drug shipment into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film is about Scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who, because of a gamma ray experiment gone bad, as been changed into the Incredible Hulk. The film tells of the marvel universe comic super hero the green Hulk. Actors Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, Liv Tyler play key roles in this film. Louis Leterrier directs this film. The film genre is sci-fi/action.

DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry, a bored and lonely corporate auditor, has an unusual meeting with corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that sends his life in a whole new direction. John is exposed to "The List", where people find involvement in a sexual indescretions. But, he also finds himself in a scene full of deceipt, underhandidness and death.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a quest to find his lost brother, a science professor goes on a mission that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a remake of the 1959 production, that was formed from the classic work by renowned author Jules Verne. This sci-fi adventure stars Brendan Fraser, and Anita Briem.

THE HAPPENING: Confused and frightened, teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are getting away from the big city. Their city has been thrown into chaos. People have been afflicted by an unusual force, and are commiting suicide. Will mankind solve this dilemma, or are we witnessing the final acts of man on this planet?

IRON MAN: Playboy, engineer genius, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is taken hostage by Afghan fighters. They try to force him to make missiles for the insurgent group. He sustained injuries while he was being captured, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To save his life from this injury, and break away from his enemies, he designs a suit of armor, which makes him virtually invincible. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.

SPEED RACER: The 1990's television cartoon becomes a feature film. Much like the film The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a feature film with actors. Young Speed Racer who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a big race that his older brother lost his live in. With the odds stacked against him, and the future of the family business at risk, he partners up with his old rival Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, so the family business won't go under.
