The Mamma Mia DVD has become the best selling movie in the United Kingdom. Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan star in one of the best selling musical movies of all time. Mamma Mia began as a Broadway musical and is still going strong today, touring in many cities all over the world. The songs by ABBA lay the groundwork for both the movie and the Broadway musical. While the DVD was released in the United States on December 16, 2008, the musical has been around since the early 1990s. What is so amazing is that the people who worked on and created the musical also worked on the movie.



The Mamma Mia DVD includes many extra features and bonuses and will be available in several different countries around the world. The bonus disc of the set is what contains the digital copy of Mamma Mia, the deleted scenes and outtakes, a featurette about the making of the movie, a behind the scenes featurette, one about the filming location in Greece, a bonus music video that features Amanda Seyfried, commentaries, and more.

In addition, the movie will also be available on Blu Ray.

The Mamma Mia DVD tells a story that is set on a beautiful Greek island. A young girl named Sophie, who is soon to be married, badly wants her father to be the one to give her away. The only trouble with that is she doesnt know who her father is. She secretly reads her moms diary (played by Meryl Streep) and decides that her father could be any one of three different men. Sophie invites all three to the wedding, they all say yes, but the real kicker is that her mother, Donna, has no clue that Sophie invited the three men. When Donna finds out (in front of a giant crowd) that her three ex lovers are all there at once for the wedding, she turns to her hilarious two best friends for support, which turns out to be half of the fun.

Many people who had gone to see this movie without high expectations claim that they were pleasantly surprised, and many also state that they had great fun with the Mamma Mia DVD.
