I know that reading a case study with numbers and details can help you make the decision about whether or not paid surveys is the right moneymaking opportunity for you. So here we go...
My experience with paid surveys online was in May 2007. At that time I was considering putting my experiences down on a website and I realised that paid surveys had passed me by.
The first decision I took was to pay for an up to date database of companies willing to pay me for my time. I did this after spending hours getting virtually nowhere searching on the internet.
The second decision I took after reading up on the subject was to fill in the application forms as accurately as I could. This enables the companies who are paying you to target the right questions and goods.
It took me a whole day to apply to circa forty companies. Most of these completely on the internet and a couple who took my information and then sent a copy for me to sign via the mail.
I stopped at this point although there are many hundreds of surveys to sign up to. I wanted to see what came through and so I waited exactly one week and then visited the email address I had supplied to see what had come in (if anything)
Paid services online service would suit an absolute beginner. That means that they are giving you all the needed information and step-by-step instructions. Just follow them and within days you should be able to start generating revenue.
In total, I had the opportunity to complete eleven paid surveys online. Nine more had arrived through the post (some with free products). There was also a chance to participate in a telephone survey but I had missed the date.
The surveys covered things like barbeque grills, movies, food and drink preferences, hobbies and interests.
All in all, I made $187 for filling in the surveys (another full day)
Watch out for the Scammers!for scammers!
The Scam is this. If you decide not to pursue my recommendation and go your own way, watch out for companies, agencies and subscription services asking you to part with money in return for filling out a survey. You only need to pay once to get into this business and that is it. Never pay to take a survey.
The Good Points
Here's the maths! If I spent two days per week for six weeks signing up to online survey sites then I would have four hundred and eighty potential customers sending me surveys. If I then received one survey from each every four weeks I would have one hundred and twenty to complete per month. At $9 each (my average) that's $1,080 big ones. Now add on a couple of focus groups and you are up to $1200 per month PLUS all the free products PLUS It's interesting and fun to do.
Now imagine that you don't stop and you are always find the time to sign up for new surveys. After a few months I might be doing eight per day and not four. BINGO! now I am on $2400 per month working my own hours from home.
As I said before, this would suit an inexperienced person as you receive all the needed information and step-by-step instructions. Follow them correctly and you will be earning quickly.
The Not So Good Points
The database I bought from paidsurveysonline.com was in the main very good although a couple of the names were no longer valid. This is the sort of stuff you get when trying to keep a large database up to date.
Sometimes you get offered goods and services instead of money. The most popular is probably Amazon vouchers but memberships, DVD's, cookware, clothes and food also come into the mix.
One company did not pay out on time and it took a couple of emails to get things sorted.
You will not become an internet millionaire through paid surveys online but you can earn a good salary sitting in your own back yard if you want.
Paid Surveys Online Review
You have heard that you can earn extra money by doing paid surveys online. Armed with your computer and some extra time you bring yourself to the Internet and put in a search for paid surveys. You pull up the first page and it lists 2,210,000 sites. At first you get excited and then you are overwhelmed. How do you find legitimate offers?
There are usually three types of surveys to look for and each one has it's own merit. You can find those that offer you money, those that offer cash and prizes and those that offer a chance to win in sweepstakes. You will also have those that will pay you for trying out certain products and others that are just gathering information. The key to all of them is to decide what kinds of surveys you want to do and start finding those types.
Here are a few tips to help you get started:
1. Find survey companies that are free to sign up with so you can test them out to see whether you like them or not. Look for those who are recommended by other people. You can find this information out by doing a search for the 10 Top survey companies.
2. Don't pay for paid survey lists. This is usually a site that is only offering information. You can find the information out on your own.
3. Check their demographics before you start. You will be looking for sites that fit your age range, gender and sometimes your socioeconomic level. Of course a lot of people lie on these but if you want to get paid it's best to tell the truth.
4. Make time to fill out the surveys. The more you fill out the more money you can make so take the time to do as many as you can.
5. Read everything you can from different websites about how to make money through paid surveys. There are many people out there who are willing to help others have the best experiences with paid surveys online.
6. Be wary of sites that say you can make outrageous amounts of money ($500 to $1000 a day). These sites are probably scams and will want to take your money rather than help you find surveys.
One of the ways to start your research to find the best sites is to start with companies that actually review online paid surveys sites. As examples, Survey Police help to identify online survey scams and Survey Sentinel ranks them by how well they work. You can find out more by doing a search for "survey review companies."
It is a good idea to be cautious, but the more sites you sign up for, the more you have coming to your email box.
