These days, many people seem to believe that depression is a fact of life. Unfortunately, too much of the medical community supports this theory. People everywhere are being diagnosed--or self-diagnosing-- with either clinical depression or situational depression, and also making the mistake of believing that their only two options are to either rely on medications or to simply suffer with being depressed. In some instances this can mean enjoying life far less than one should be able to; in other instances, depression can be completely debilitating.
Whichever form of depression you may have, and to whatever extent it has been interfering with your daily life, there is a solution that will work for you. Not only do you not need to suffer from depression and its destructive effects, you also do not need to depend on years of professional counseling or therapy, or varieties of medications which can often cause more harm than good.
The human brain is a natural organ. As such, it makes perfect sense that the best method to deal with any problems with it is also something natural. The good news is that such a natural solution does exist, and it is available to you. Your brain can be trained to work for you rather than against you; and instead of coping with the kinds of difficult side-effects you could get from attempting to treat your depression with medication, the natural method will result in vibrant, good health.
You are probably fully aware of what depression can do to a person. Even the most minimal cases can have quite a negative effect on your everyday life. Depression can drain you of your energy, make your thinking less clear, and lead you to feel unmotivated in both thought and action. It does not need to be this way. Depression does not need to have a hold on your life-- nor does it need to have a hold on you! Instead of falling into the belief that you have no choice but to suffer with depression, or to rely on potentially-harmful medications, make the choice that will be best for you, your life, and your overall health.

Being from a specific city, town, or neighborhood is one of the biggest factors in molding one's life. When we are born alls we know is that we must eat and sleep in order to live. Later on in life, you start to realize more about your life, including your family and your surroundings. Your family and surroundings are molded from essentially the same thing; your city, town or neighborhood, so it is hard not to follow the same path as others in your geographical location.
Growing up you look up to others around you and you think that the way you live is the way everybody in the world lives, or at least should live. This mentality comes from everybody around you being from generally from the same walk of life and doing the mostly the same things. Now your outlook is the same as your peers, both older and younger, because this way of life is all you know. Whether you are living in the East side of Beverly Hills or the West side of Chicago you think that the way you live is the right way and you take pride in your city, town, or neighborhood.
Throughout your life you will always revert back to where you're from, whether it is comparing with a friend or co-worker how you were raised or what you're parents did for a living. As most grow up they stay in the same area to be around family, friends and familiar surroundings. Some venture out and see what life is like outside of their cities or towns. Although these people left their hometowns to go elsewhere, they will always have a little bit of wherever they are from inside of them. There is a popular saying that goes; you can take the boy out of Brooklyn but you can't take Brooklyn out of the boy! This is a great saying and can be used for any city, town or neighborhood around the world.
Going back to the "My dad can beat up your dad" mindset, we as people can always find something great about our hometown, whether it is a hard work ethic or great ocean views, our hometown is usually one up on others. This pride in our hometowns can carry over into our personal and business relationships in new cities or towns that we venture to throughout life. We gravitate towards people from similar backgrounds as us and find a common bond if we believe they are like us.
Finding people like you and sticking with them often leads to the generalization that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, because if you come from a rich town, you will most likely always be around wealthy people. On the other hand growing up in an inner city around underprivileged people will lead most to staying on the same track as their families and peers, mainly because it is all they know. This can pose a problem in society for some and can lead to very happy lives for others. There are always people out there that want more and go get it but there are some that have so much love around them that material objects don't mean anything to them.
There are now websites scattered around the web that let people express themselves and their love for their hometowns no matter where they are or what they're like. This new way of showing your love for your hometown lets people show off their roots while traveling to other parts of the world or country, away at college, or simply around town!
