A secured personal loan, as it is, requires you to undertake such a risky venture as sign the dotted line pledging your very home as security. However, borrowers need not fear. This is because secured personal loan can ensure certain benefits and convenience to the borrower: flexible repayment plans and low interest rates.



2. Unsecured Personal loans: No collateral or security need to be placed here against the loan amount. The offering is small anyway, as compared to secured loan. The approval process is fast, but the interest rate can go a bit on the higher side. It can be the highest for those with severe credit problems. Also, the repayment period is much shorter than in the case of secured loans.

The sensible thing to do is to compare loans offered by lenders and go for the one most suitable to your needs.
