Pictures Of Ovarian Cysts

    View:
Whether complicated or not, ovarian cysts, when they grow very large, can be very painful. Also, they press on the urinary bladder, thus causing someone with an enlarged ovarian cyst to visit the toilet much more often than usual. The treatment for these complications of ovarian cysts can be done through the holistic approach.

There is yet another reason why you should have a check up done for ovarian cysts and other pelvic conditions and that is that some women develop ovarian cysts that are not commonly found. These are painless and do not result in any of the common symptoms which accompany the usual type of ovarian cysts. It is these uncommon types of cysts that can cause complications. It has also been found that sometimes the symptoms are hard to distinguish from those found at the time of pregnancy. As a matter of fact, many women have only come to realize that they have developed ovarian cysts after they have bled severely. Initially, they mistook this bleeding for miscarriage.

Although you may have ovarian cysts in your body which cause complications, these are not necessarily malignant. However, these are not the functional types of ovarian cysts and you will only come to know about the symptoms and feel the pain at a much later date, when the cyst has developed substantially. It must also be kept in mind that ovarian cysts can hamper the fertility of women. And finally, ovarian cysts which develop in women who have reached menopause can be dangerous as they often tend to be cancerous.

We give below examples of the non functional kind of ovarian cysts that are known to cause more complications.

1) The Dermoid Ovarian Cysts: These cysts are formed from the same cells which make up the human egg. That is why these cysts often consist of teeth, hair, skin or other types of human tissues. In most cases, they are not cancerous but, when they become large, they can be extremely painful and can cause complications if they twist on themselves.

2) Endometriomas: This cyst develops from the cells of the uterus but grows outside the uterus. It may get attached to the ovary.

3) Cystadenomas: A cyst that is filled with fluids, these can grow to a size of 12 inches. These ovarian cysts can cause complications such as the twisting of the ovary.

Complications of the ovarian cysts would also depend on the type of ovarian cyst you are suffering from. As a matter of interest, the functional types of cysts are easier to handle as they can be dealt with fairly easily through surgery and medicines.

The non functional types of cysts are the ones which are much more complicated. This apart, it is those ovarian cysts which have not been classified into a particular category which are tougher to handle as firstly, it is difficult to find the root cause of the cyst and, secondly, it is also difficult to work out a course of treatment for these. Ovarian cysts sometimes cause a great deal of discomfort during intercourse and may also bleed at that time.

But despite the problems enumerated above, it is not that these complications in ovarian cysts cannot be successfully treated, but unfortunately, most courses of treatment tend to focus on treating only the symptoms.

The holistic approach is the only one that emphasizes the fact that it is the very root cause of the ovarian cysts that should be treated rather than focusing on the pain factor or any of the other symptoms which accompany ovarian cysts. The root causes of ovarian cysts include obesity, a weak immune system, and accumulation of toxins in the digestive system, genetic tendencies, poor choices of diet and other health related issues.

Therefore, it is important to adopt the Holistic Approach if you want to cure the complications of ovarian cysts completely. This lays emphasis on treating the cause of the malady rather than just dealing with its symptoms.
Pictures Of Ovarian Cysts
Cysts are very small bags looking like blisters and filled with fluid. Women who are of the reproductive age commonly have cysts. They look like growths that are the size of almonds on each side of the uterus. This said, the imbalance of progesterone and estrogen, two of the female hormones, can also give rise to abnormal cysts such as dermoid cysts, endometrinoma cysts and cystadenoma cysts. In many cases these are not harmful and clear up by themselves. There are many signs concerning ovarian cysts, which allow for early detection if you know how to recognize them.

Ovarian cysts may not generate any specific symptoms for many women. Tumors that are inactive are unlikely to generate symptoms either. This is particularly true when the size of a cyst is small. It may be the tumors producing particular hormones that then engender specific symptoms. Remember that tumors that are feminizing may begin bleeding even when the menopause is finished. Girls with ovarian cysts that have not yet reached puberty may start bleeding early, and develop breast and body hair. Sometimes the cyst will grow bigger and provoke abdominal swelling. A woman in this situation will use the toilet more often because the bladder and the bowels will be under increased pressure. This is an important sign and must not be neglected in the detection of ovarian cysts. Other signs may include discomfort while having intercourse. There may also be heavy and irregular periods linked with ovarian cysts.

Sometimes women live with cysts for long time and are unaware of it. Because symptoms do not exist for many ovarian cyst cases, they are often only found when the routine checkups or ultrasound scans are being done for other reasons. If a woman has a tumor that is actively masculine, then her periods may stop and she may begin to develop masculine characteristics such as facial hair, increased size of the clitoris and deepening of the voice. But if the cyst has grown on a stem and twisting of the stem occurs, this may give serious pain, heart beat rate increase and even vomiting. This critical condition is called torsion and a cyst in this state needs immediate intervention. If you experience abdominal swelling that is abnormal then make sure that you see a doctor or clinic. In case of the rupture of a cyst, the impact on the patient will be dependent on the contents of the cyst, as well as any degree of infection or bleeding. Typically when a cyst ruptures, it causes pain but not as much as in the case of torsion.

So as to achieve long-term relief from ovarian cysts and their symptoms, the only real solution is a holistic treatment. Conventional medicine does not give effective treatment for ovarian cysts because it only focuses on relieving pain for symptoms. Several drug exists that may be prescribed for ovarian cyst treatment, but they do not bring a permanent solution. Many of them also have unfortunate second effects.

The classic sign of torsion in an ovarian cyst is severe pain in the abdomen together with nausea and fever. Another frequent sign of ovarian cysts is menstrual cramps commonly known as period pains, or by its medical description of dysmenorrhea. Up to a certain level, period pain may be common, but some patients tolerate a high level of pain believing it to be normal. Serious menstrual cramps may indicate other problems including those of ovarian cysts. No single sign of ovarian cysts exists for reliably diagnosing ovarian cysts. In some cases, there is no symptom at all. In other cases the symptoms manifest themselves as ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory diseases and endometriosis. Other unrelated complaints such as appendicitis and diverticulitis have also been seen to generate symptoms and indications that resemble those of an ovarian cyst. However, it is essential to watch out for any of the above.

Ovarian cysts may be indicated if there is a persistent intermittent dull ache that moves from the lower back towards the thighs, or by a sharp pain in the pelvic area just prior to the beginning of a period or prior to its end. The feeling of an abdomen being heavy or full and also any vomiting or fever may also be related to the case of ovarian cysts. The symptoms may be numerous in some cases and hardly exist in others. Early on, victims of ovarian cysts speak of a sense of fullness or a weak pain. Pain when having intercourse may also be an indication of the presence of ovarian cysts. Sharp pain during the bowel movements or when pressure is put on the bowels is also a suspect phenomenon. Additionally, nausea and vomiting, and tenderness and the breasts that are all often signs associated with pregnancy, may in fact indicate the presence of ovarian cysts. The recommended course of action is to consult a certified gynaecologist if you are aware of any of the above symptoms.

Even if several possibilities of treating or managing ovarian cysts exist, some of these are only aimed at reducing the painful symptoms rather than curing the root disease. In order to remedy and prevent ovarian cysts in the future, a better choice is holistic treatment that has the power to treat and banish ovarian cysts permanently. A holistic program is also the fastest and safest way to rid yourself of ovarian cyst infection now and forever.
