Warranty & Customer Service: You need to take the warranty serious with massage chairs. There are complex moving parts and you can avoid costly future issues. Look at it like an insurance policy. The Prestigio comes with 5 years on the frame, 3 years covered on parts, 90 days of in home service and also 1 year of parts shipping. This is very comprehensive for the mid-tier level. Customer service is competent and responsive. We score it a 19.

Comfort & Ergonomics: Ergonomic design considerations are paramount with a luxury lounger. One must be able to relax afterall! We like the Prestigio's contoured feel of the back and how you can sink into the seat and chair back. The leg rest is comfortable and soothing. Controls are laid out well with large buttons, making it easier for the less dexterous among us. Switching to manual is two step process which takes getting used to. Overall, we score the OM-510 a 17 in ergonomics.

Ease of Use: Like any device with built in electronics, ease of use is a critical concern. A manufacturer needs to design their controls to be intuitive to use. The Prestigio has a great set of massage features built into the chair. The remote is pretty straight forward to use. It has large buttons and a backlit LCD for use in lower light settings. The LCD has icons which show exactly what massage functions are running during the programs. The only non-intuitive feature is switching from automatic programs to manual programs. This is a two step process with this massage recliner. One has to select the mode button and then select the massage technique. Most chairs allow you to select directly. This is the only issue we have seen with this remote control. Otherwise, everything is self-explanatory. Overall rating for the Omega OM-510 for ease of use is 16.

Key Features: Here is what we really like about the Prestigio OM-510 massage chair. It has a soothing reflexology foot massage and an invigorating shiatsu massage. The shiatsu massage gives great and thorough penetration to the back. The rollers reach down the lower lumbar for an excellent lower back massage. The reflexology foot massage takes the days tension right out of your feet. Place those tired, aching feet in the leg rest and let the soothing begin. The reflexology points are stimulated on the bottom of your feet while a firm compression massage takes place on the top of your feet. These key features rate an 18 on our evaluation of the OM 510.

Massage Therapy: The critical category is how is the massage therapy? After all, it is a massage chair. You will not be disappointed at all with the Prestigio. It has 3 timed auto programs that provide a thorough and comprehensive massage to your back. You can switch to manual and select from 4 back courses including upper, lower, full and pinpoint. Select the manual massage treatment for targeted relief including kneading, tapping, finger press and shiatsu. The lower body is covered with the air massage system. Select the level of compression with the Prestigio for your buttocks, thighs, calves and feet. This is one invigorating massage therapy machine and scores a 19 in massage therapy.

How does the Omega OM-510 rate overall? Overall, our rating of the Prestigio is an 89/100. This is a very impressive chair for the mid range level. This is perhaps the most strikingly beautifully designed chair on the market. This massage chair comes with handsome varnished wood armrests and silver accents on the arm supports. It has a warm and contemporary look. Omega adds a handsome wood side table as an extra designer touches. The massage therapies are very thorough and comprehensive. The warranty coverage is terrific. The OM-510 provides for a strong massage, which can be softened with the extra back pad included with the chair. If you are looking for a mid range massage chair, this is one of the best.

This review covers the entry level massage chair made by Sanyo, which is model HEC-SR1000K. The SR 1000K massage chair recliner has some of the same features as some of Sanyo's higher end models. Our product review makes an evaluation in 5 separate categories and up to 20 points are awarded in each category. The total points are added up to give an overall rating for the massage chair. Warranty Coverage & Customer Service: First let us get the driest part of the review out of the way first-the warranty coverage. OK, we all know that warranty coverage is important in complicated machines like massage chairs. But what kind of coverage do you get from Sanyo? Sanyo provides the same warranty for all its chairs. The good news is that it adds up to good coverage for an entry level chair. You get 3 years of warranty for the roller mechanism, 1 year parts and labor, and 1 year in home service. There is also a call center for issues, should they arise. We give the SR1000 a 19 for its warranty.

Comfort & Ergonomics: Quite simply, a massage chair needs to be comfortable to sit in. We have seen some chairs that could not be used other than when the massage is running. Sanyo has figured this out and the SR1000 is a comfortable chair. The controller is well laid out and easy to figure out. The main power is to the side which takes a short training period to remember. The foot massager takes getting use to flipping out which is somewhat cumbersome. We give this chair a 17 for comfort and ergonomics.

Ease of Use: This is perhaps a category because it is a pet peeve of ours. Let's face it our world is getting more complex and so are the devices in it. It is the responsibility of the maker of these items to keep it simple. We found the remote to have too many steps to get what you want compared to other massage chairs. This was surprising given that it was a Sanyo. But nevertheless, it is what it is. We rate the SR-1000 a 16 for ease of use.

Key Features: One of the interesting things with this model is that it has many technologies handed down from the higher level massage chairs in the Sanyo line. This is great for an entry level massage chair. Take for instance, the stiffness detector. The stiffness detector is found in Sanyo's high end model. This device is gripped with the hand. It monitors your pulse and sweat. It knows (somehow) where these changes are coming from and it actually targets those areas. Another electronic gadget integrated is the shape sensor. The shape sensor checks your body position in the chair and changes the massage to where you are. Interesting stuff, we give it an 18.

Massage Therapy: This is the most important category, since this is what a massage chair is all about. The SR 1000K comes with the following manual massage techniques: massage, tapping, combination, stretch 1 and stretch 2. The massages can be used in combination with the stretch 1 and stretch 2 functions. There are 2 automatic programs which are Relax and Recovery. First you choose the massage and then you can select the region of the body to target. You can select neck/shoulder, upper body, or waist. The SR1000K also comes with a calf and foot massager. The leg rest can be used directly for the calves. You must flip the foot massager out to use the foot massager. The leg rest allows you to target the following regions: calves, back of the knees, soles of the feet and the Achilles tendon/heal. The leg rest roller mechanism provides effective massage to the calves and the back of the knees. We rate the massage therapy of the SR-1000 a 17.

So how does the Sanyo SR1000K rate overall? In our review it gets an 87/100 points. We like the warranty and that gives you confidence that it will last. The electronic features are interesting, but they seem to be at the expense of more massage treatments. There are only 2 automatic programs, which seem a bit light compared to other massage chairs. The look of the chair is a little different, because the main power is located on the side. The aesthetics are nice otherwise. This is an interesting massage chair and is worth checking out.
