Plans For A Picnic Table

    View:
The is one of the most popular pieces of outdoor furniture in the country. It's hard to find a home that doesn't have one. As a matter of fact, with all of the new styles and shapes that have come onto the scene in the past several years, many people have more than one. The incredibly versatile picnic table comes in styles from rustic to elegant, and fits every occasion, from casual barbecues, to stylish affairs.Even if you don't have any other outdoor furniture besides a picnic table, you can use its benches or chairs for relaxing on your porch or patio; but you won't find many patio chairs that can substitute as picnic tables. There's really nothing that can compare to the picnic table. Just add a grill, some food, and some friends, and you've got a good time. But what do you do if the unexpected happens? What if you're all ready to cook out, and you suddenly realize that your old grill got thrown out last fall, and you haven't replaced it yet? What happens if you drag your worn out grill out of the garage, and it's too rusty to use? You improvise.Indeed, you can make an impromptu grill right on the spot. All you need are some cinder blocks, stacked in the shape of a ?U? on a patch of concrete or bare ground, at least a foot high. After the blocks are in place, just put a rack on top of them (your oven rack will do), and you can start cooking. That's not the only thing that you can use as a makeshift grill, in a pinch. An old, metal wheelbarrow, for instance, with a rack placed across the top, not only makes a great place to cook burgers, but it will really get things rolling!Just as there are plenty of ways to get the party started, there are many ways to get the fire started as well. For example, a half-gallon, waxed milk or juice carton makes an excellent disposable starter, when you fill it with charcoal briquettes, and set it aflame. The container is easy to light, and heats things up quickly. You can also use a brown paper bag, filled with charcoal, twigs, and pieces of paper, to do the job.If you want to make a starter that's reusable, simply use the sharp end of a bottle opener to punch triangle-shaped holes around the bottom edge of a large, empty coffee can, and remove the bottom with a regular can opener. Then, simply place the can in your grill, put in some scraps of wood and paper, fill it to the top with charcoal, and light it through the holes at the bottom. After the briquettes get hot, use your tongs to lift the can and spread the coals. With a little bit of ingenuity, you can make the most out of any situation. When it comes to picnic tables, however, AllPicnicTables.com has enough creativity for everyone. After all, they have tables in every size, shape, style, and color imaginable. At , their unsurpassed selection includes traditional cedar, pine, oak, teak, and cherry tables, as well as aluminum, thermo-plastic coated steel, polywood, and vinyl picnic tables. To see the entire selection, visit AllPicnicTables.com.
