Liposuction, also known as liposculpture, is a cosmetic surgery operation to improve your body shape by removing unwanted fat from areas of the body. Liposuction (lipoplasty) is particularly well-suited for women and men who are of relatively normal weight but have isolated pockets of fat that cause certain areas of their body to appear disproportionate. Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. Many patients become discouraged at having lost unwanted pounds without seeing a flatter abdomen. The overall proportions of the body may be unbalanced, or the abdomen may simply have retained areas of fatty tissue that cause it to protrude.
These localized fat deposits may sometimes be an inherited trait and typically do not respond to dieting or exercise. Liposuction can be performed consecutively on many different sites; in fact, many patients choose to have several body parts treated during the same day. On average, liposuction takes 1-2 hours per area treated. With the Tumescent Technique, large volumes of saline solution, local anesthesia, and adrenaline are infused into the fatty area being treated to cause swelling. Liposuction is not a treatment for weight control or obesity and it cannot remove cellulite or stretch marks.
Liposuction carries greater risk for individuals with medical problems such as diabetes, significant heart or lung disease, poor blood circulation, or those who have recently had surgery near the area to be contoured. There are several types of liposuction procedures available, Tumescent liposuction involves the injection if a large amount of anesthetic into the area being treated. In ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL), sound waves are used to liquefy the fat before it is removed. LipoSelection uses the same concept without disturbing the surrounding tissue. Liposuction is not a very complicated plastic surgery procedure, as with all surgery, it has certain risks. The risk of drug reactions is possible in people who are allergic to certain substances.
Plastic Surgery Without Surgery
Perhaps you have some small lines around your eyes and the creases of your mouth that you wish to get rid of. Perhaps you have a more serious need for skin treatment like sun damage or a tattoo removal. Do you think that Botox, Restylane or Juvederm injections are the only options at an expensive clinic? Not necessarily. Many people are looking to affordable laser schools where students are training. There are hundreds of ways to improve the appearance of your skin. What ever your skin situation, there are several options to choose from minimally evasive skin surfacing treatments to drinking more water and getting more sleep.
There are high-tech laser skin machines and equipment to remove damaged and wrinkled skin which allows new skin layers to be exposed and the old skin layers are "vaporized" by the laser revealing the new skin. After a short amount of healing time the results are a tighter, smoother and younger looking skin surface. The laser uses a beam of light to vaporize the outer layers of damaged skin at precisely controlled levels of penetration. The laser can be applied to the skin in short pulses to remove irregular contours, discolored areas, tattoos, or blood vessels. Which ever treatment you decide to do will depend on your specific need and situation. There are several other ways to instantly improve your skin for free!
Â
Eat Better
Removing highly processed and salted food as well as highly sugary food will instantly make your skin look better and you will feel better too. Eat more fruits and vegetables and stay away from fast food!
Â
Drinking More Water
Instead of ordering a soda, which is empty calories, ask for water. Your body is almost entirely made up of water and your body needs it to flush out toxins and improve your cells. When you dehydrate your body with caffeine, sugar and sun, you need to drink water to keep your skin elastic, smooth and hydrated. Plus those dark circles under your eyes- are partly there from lack of water.
Â
Quit Smoking
Nothing could improve your skin more than this right here. When you smoke, you are inhaling pollutants, toxins and poisons into your body, which are absorbed in your bloodstream, which feed your cells. The more you smoke the more your cells are affected. Affected cells mean more broken appearance.
Â
Exercise
When your heart is pumping hard, it is circulating your blood and when you are breathing heavy, more oxygen is coming into your lungs which your cells need to be healthy. Sweating naturally removes impurities and you will even sleep better.
Â
Sleep
Getting enough rest is one of the most important things you can do. Your body needs to recharge. While you are sleeping, cell growth is taking place and important hormones- released while you are sleeping balance out the body’s natural rhythm and help the skin’s overall appearance.
Â
Stay out of the sun
Wear a hat, wear sun block! The sun instantly destroys the skin’s surface and if you get burned- your skin is even more vulnerable to skin discoloration, moles, cancers and other skin problems.
You don’t have to live in Beverly Hills and have a plastic surgeon friend to afford to look beautiful, by simply making conscious choices, your skin will soon reveal a more youthful and glowing appearance.
