There are literally hundreds of thousands of online businesses out there, and the problem facing most who would aspire to be online entrepreneurs is, which one to choose. Perhaps a good starting place would be to define just what a business is. In basic terms, a business may be described as a legal venture that moves a product or service into the hands of a consumer. By extension, an online business must do the same, only via the internet.
It seems to me that if the business you are contemplating meets these basic criteria, then you need to ask yourself a few other questions.
For example, Can it make me a good profit? How much will I have to invest for startup and what are the ongoing costs? What product(s) should I market? Who should I market to?
How do I attract customers to my website? Do I even need a website? Do I have the necessary marketing skills, computer skills, and any other required skills to compete successfully in this fast evolving arena? Do I have to sponser people and depend on them for my success or failure? Will it be too time consuming, or will it negatively impact who I am and what I do now?
Does it provide residual income? I don't want to have to repeat processes over and over just to generate a few bucks. And this just scratches the surface. The problem is, if these questions are not addressed, a person sets him or herself up for failure from the get go.
So, the one question I asked myself when faced with the questions we all have is: could I find a business out there which met the criteria listed above and would shortcut my entry into an online business by providing me a basically hands-free operation that would essentially run itself. I am not afraid of effort, but I had a JOB for 40 years, and am not looking for another.
It would have to include around the clock free maintenance since I have limited computer skills. It needs to be able to provide multiple income sources since I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. It would have to be flexible enough to grow and change as the internet changes.
It goes without saying that it would have to be an honest, legal business with a proven track record, preferably international in scope to maximize my potential customer target base. It would have to be very profitable as I am retired and have only Social Security to rely on.
It would have to do much of the marketing for me, because my expertise is not in that area. It would have to be reasonably priced since my budget is limited.
By now, if you are using the criteria that I have outlined above to assist you in winnowing out the potential winners from the losers, your list should be getting fairly small. That is not to say that there aren't some good online businesses out there. However, by applying a little logic, some good choices CAN be made.
Over the past year, I personally have signed up for a bunch of programs, all promising vast sums of income almost from day one, many for little or no effort on my part. It was a painful, expensive learning experience for me. I believe many of you have had similar experiences or you wouldn't be reading this. I know how you feel. I felt the same way, but then I got smart.
I started asking my self the questions you should all be asking. I wrote down my answers. I began shutting down the businesses I had signed up for that did not meet the criteria I had laid out. Finally I had a way out of the mess I had made for myself, and I had some viable information which would assist me in deciding what business I SHOULD be in.
I am proud to say that I finally found a business that affords me the opportunity to be myself, meet my financial and time constraints and is meeting all the criteria that I listed above. It is my very own Home Income Portal. Will it build overnight? Nope. Is it reasonably priced? Yes, and I have no website to maintain, it is done for me, 24/7. I pay a monthly subscription fee which I can cancel without notice, but why would I? Once set up, this business provides all the things I want in an online business, so I am happy. There are multiple income sources; many are providing residual income, and the business essentially runs itself.
So, if you are new to the internet, or if you have been struggling, trying to find that perfect fit of a business that you can do, you can't go too far wrong by checking this opportunity out and just see if it appeals to you as much as it does to me. Of course, the choice is yours, but if you decide to become involved, I would be very happy to serve you.

Fear is the first thing that strikes many singles when they first attempt to join the internet dating scene. It's not just the thought of meeting strangers online, but also, it comes down to trusting the service that you have chosen.
Online dating can be a minefield and there are a few things you can look for and at to help you to choose the best possible online dating site for you. For example, you could start by looking at the following:
The price of the service you use will be a major factor as some services are a lot more expensive than others, and the guest memberships are different as well. Every dating site should offer you a free trial that you can use for as long as you need to. If you find a service that doesn't offer a free trial, or they want your credit card details as soon as you join then they are best avoided.
There are thousands of dating web sites that will give you a free trial that you can set up in a few minutes, and one that you can use as long as you need to.
The number of members that the dating service has should help guide you to a successful and professional web site. This will also give you a higher chance of meeting more singles that live in your area.
While you're using you free guest membership you'll also be able to see how many singles in your area are active and have a photo on their profile. More active singles with photos on their profile who live near you will give you a much better chance of finding love and making new friends.
Dating service security is another big issue for a lot of newbies when they first start looking for love online. Trust has to built first, and this can be easily done if you stick to the most popular dating services. If you join a service that has at least half a million members then they must have built up trust to have that kind of popularity.
The length of time the web site has been in operation will be a good sign as well. A little background check will tell you if the site has been matchmaking for singles for ten years or six months.
Once you have overcome your initial fears, and you join the right web site, your online dating adventure will be a successful one.
