It may seem impossible to buy gifts for the man who seems to have everything. It truly can be a challenge. Perhaps this is because they don't often take the time to go out and buy these things for themselves until desperation strikes. If you're in a cold area, it is almost too easy. Men in very cold regions can almost always use an extra set of long johns to keep those sensitive areas warm. This is particularly important for the man who does a lot of work or play in the outdoors.

Some men just don't have any of the obvious tastes we commonly associate with men. Even worse is when your man does have these tastes but you just don't know him that well. About the worst thing you can do is buy him sports gear for the wrong team, for example. When in doubt, you can generally always succeed with plain, unmarked clothing, if it fits.

There is a safe way to go that most men actually prefer to receiving clothing, known as the gift certificate or gift card. Men may not like clothes shopping, but they almost always seem to prefer picking out their gifts themselves. Find out where he shops for his own clothing, and you'll be able to get him a gift certificate for his favorite clothing store.

Unless you know for a fact that your man is a tie collector or tie enthusiast, don't buy him another tie. A belt is a better idea, but don't buy that either. Clothing accessories are not nearly as prized as clothing because they last for years and years, rarely needing replaced and often going for years unused.
