It may seem impossible to buy gifts for the man who seems to have everything. It truly can be a challenge. It is not uncommon to find yourself in a men's clothing store with many women frantically running around trying to figure out what they can possibly buy whenever a gift giving occasion approaches. It may seem as if the men in their lives already have good clothes. One of the little known secrets of men's clothing is that men like to look good just as much as women do, even if they don't think about it as often or as prominently as women do. If you're not so sure about your man's interests, you can go in other directions. Men always seem to have a use for underwear, socks, and t-shirts. Perhaps this is because they don't often take the time to go out and buy these things for themselves until desperation strikes. These items can be bought in bulk packs from brand names at many discount stores.

If you're in a cold area, it is almost too easy. Men in very cold regions can almost always use an extra set of long johns to keep those sensitive areas warm. This is particularly important for the man who does a lot of work or play in the outdoors.

Some men just don't have any of the obvious tastes we commonly associate with men. Even worse is when your man does have these tastes but you just don't know him that well. About the worst thing you can do is buy him sports gear for the wrong team, for example. When in doubt, you can generally always succeed with plain, unmarked clothing, if it fits.

There is a safe way to go that most men actually prefer to receiving clothing, known as the gift certificate or gift card. Men may not like clothes shopping, but they almost always seem to prefer picking out their gifts themselves. Find out where he shops for his own clothing, and you'll be able to get him a gift certificate for his favorite clothing store.

Unless you know for a fact that your man is a tie collector or tie enthusiast, don't buy him another tie. A belt is a better idea, but don't buy that either. Clothing accessories are not nearly as prized as clothing because they last for years and years, rarely needing replaced and often going for years unused.
