There has been a decline in the availability of cattle fodder in the country, with harvester machines and short hybrid varieties of grain. Introduced during the white revolution, foreign breeds of cattle have taken over the indigenous breeds. However, the Indian Government in collaboration with western countries is planning to further develop the Indian Livestock Industry.
