Canopy beds have always been my favorite kind of bed. I sometimes think about the fabulous wrought iron bed that parents had when I was just a little kid. It wasn't a canopy bed frame originally, but it had enough height for a canopy to hang properly from it. Whether you want a canopy that is closer to the mattress or higher up, your final decision will depend on personal preference and the height of the ceilings in your bedroom. When it comes to a canopy, some people prefer it to be at its maximum height. Others enjoy sleeping in canopy beds sporting lower canopies, because it provides a greater degree of intimacy. Really low canopy beds just don't work for me. One may experience discomfort when a lack of air reaches the inside of the bed. Some people actually like this though. Nothing say romance like antique canopy bed frames, and with so many styles available, you are sure to find one you will cherish forever. Antique beds add unique appeal to any room. I have seen antique bedframes that have been in a family for many generations, the oldest of which are wrought iron frames, but wooden frames can last almost as long. Antique lovers should check your favorite shops for one of these charming beds.
