Now that computers are in almost every home and so many people use digital cameras, it's actually easier than ever to make your own personalised cards. You can use family photos for the front or childhood pictures that still make you laugh. You can even use a photo editing program such as Adobe Photoshop to make family photos even funnier, add speech bubbles, moustaches or even cut out a person and put them in a silly setting. If you were always getting in to trouble as a child you could put yourself behind bars - aged 3, or if your dad loves diving you could surround him in colourful fishes. Whatever design you chose to make, it could have a similar effect to those cards you made in childhood. It could show your dad you care enough to take the time and effort to make something funny or meaningful for him. You can't get much more personalised than a homemade personalised card and by using good quality card and folding the crease perfectly they can look very professional too.

If you have a lot of brothers and sisters then Father's Day can be a bit of a competition, not a particularly fierce competition; but still a lot of fun! If you want to impress your dad the most this year, personalised cards will probably do the trick. They don't have to be the typical fold out greetings cards either and you can purchase special prints which have been made unique by the addition of your dad's name or a special message. These are a good alternative to folded personalised cards because when your father has read the message on the back of the print he can frame or display the image in his living room or on his desk.
