Front Sight Firearms Training Institute offers courses in gun training, as well as other forms of self defense training. Dr. Ignatius Piazza knows that when it comes to life threatening situations, the seconds are crucial. Dr. Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight, started the institute shortly after he came to these realizations himself. He was at home one night in 1988 when he heard the shots. A drive-by shooting was happening in his neighborhood. He owned guns, yes, and knew how to use them. But he realized he had never been taught the skills to use the guns in a moment where he would have to defend his own life or his family members' lives. He became engrossed in firearms training because he wanted to be as highly trained as possible. After intense training for years, in April of 1996, Dr. Piazza founded Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. His goal was to give people a positive outlook on guns and to train them to be experts in using them.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute offers courses such as handgun training, shotgun training, rifle training, and automatic weapons training. (Select Fire M16 and an Uzi Submachine Gun), but it also offers courses in non firearms self defense training. There is an edged weapons training course to help you defend yourself against those attackers carrying knifes instead of guns. There is a rope, rappelling, and climbing training course so that your family can feel safe in outdoor environments. Defensive driving training allows students to learn how to handle their vehicles in unsafe driving conditions. Empty handed self defense training courses include martial arts training, child safety training and youth safety training. As if these courses did not already supply the highest standard of training possible, Dr. Piazza's institution also offers private training. In private training sessions, you, the student, tell your instructor your goals and the instructor makes certain that you attain them.
