Well if you think you can and you're excited to try then those are the biggest ingredients of success… the rest is just the nuts and bolts of what exactly to do.

I can easily teach you that if you're excited to learn.

But it's just like in any other area of business. A few focused, talented, sometimes lucky but usually hard working players do just that - they make millions of dollars every year, just from running an online business.

Why not you? You can do it! So don't let anyone tell you that you can't.

When I started awhile ago, I certainly had questions: how does it all work; what's involved; can I really make some money; what are the key elements of success; how do I get started?

I'll show you where you can find all that out, but first let's just look at the internet as a marketing arena and see what makes it tick and where you might find a niche for yourself.

Your job is to become an "Internet Merchant". You will need to attract motivated, interested buyers with money to spend and get them to a website where they can see what you have to offer. You can certainly work with products you create yourself but early on you're probably best to offer affiliate products created by others.

There are a multitude of ways to make money online and I've tried lots of them to see which ones fit for me. I think I've found the best way to make it all happen online.

Most of the truly successful online players teach that you must first build a list of people who show interest in your product or service and then you market to them via email. That's a very good approach. A huge advantage of this strategy is that it's your list, you own it and you can market to it over and over if you provide great content and treat your subscribers well.

Others simply don't want the hassle of autoresponders and list building and emails. They take the approach of attracting traffic to their site by creating a website that gets into the first few pages on Google so searchers can find them easily. You can also build "pay-per-click" campaigns or attract subscribers through writing articles on your niche. Articles like this one which you publish on popular article directories like Ezine Articles, Go Articles or Article Dashboard. And regardless of your other programs you should probably start a Blog.

The key element to all of these approaches is leaving information on your site, your ads, your articles or your blog about how to find you and your offer - what we call your Resource Box.

And what do we sell on the internet? Just about anything at all. But information products, software and how-to books are big profit items.

One of the biggest money spinners is to build a network marketing business online.

There's also big money in putting up websites to earn click commissions from Google through the Google AdSense campaigns.

And don't forget to register at Clickbank and search out a few affiliate products that are relevant to your niche. You can then attract buyers with a pay-per-click campaign or article series.
