I have decided I would like to own my own vineyard. Most people want a rocket, or a spaceshipme I just want grapes, and lots of them! 300 grapes makes a whole bottle of white wine. And you only need 75 for a single glass. so just think, how many bottles of white wine would my vineyard make?!



Have you ever stopped and wondered what the biggest bottle of wine one can buy? It's called a Nebuchadnezzar and contains 15 litres; this is equivalent to an astonishing 20 regular bottles of white wine! It gives us a whole new meaning to ordering just one bottle of white wine.

I know a fair bit about wine now after I was invited to attend a wine tasting event in my local church hall. It was a brilliant experience, I do like a drink I must admit! I love my new found interest, that vineyard will be mine!

Free alcohol seems like the perfect incentive to visit one of these events to me. Everyone else was getting pretty drunk, but my high tolerance meant I was able to take in a few facts and be educated on the wines on show. I went home and shared these facts i had picked up with my family. They seems pretty impressed i must say!

which grapes make white wine? Well hard to believe, but red grapes can make both red and white wine. However the poor green grapes are only restricted to making white wine! A little unfair don't you think?

This is because the actual colour of red wine comes from the skins of the grapes themselves, and not the actual grape juice, so technically if you wanted to use the red grapes to make white wine, all you would have to do is remove the skins! This is how the majority of the Champagne you drink is madeusing red grapes!

Would you be shocked to know that fish extracts or egg whites exist in your white wine? Well these products are commonly used to refine a wine. All you veggies and vegans, check before you drink!

a fact that made me throw up a little in my mouth.. Cow's blood was used in the past to refine the wine! Not anymore mind thank god!

I love alcohol. I love white wine. Period. No matter how much the guide tried to put me off, by telling me disgusting but interesting facts, it was all I could do, to try not to hide and live in that vineyard forever! I like the way wine makes me feel, I can be whoever I want to be, whenever I take that sweet poison inside me.

My only real decision here is red or white wine?!
