Usually held in Leicestershire for over two full days, the training is carried out by the two directors of NCCA. These directors are in-trade carpet cleaners and are well equipped with practical knowledge due to their being in constant touch with the customers and their problems. The trainees benefit from their extensive knowledge. Every trainee is required to pass a multiple choice test at the end of the course, after which he is awarded an NCCA certificate and an exclusive Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Manual.

The Advanced Spot and Stain Removal Training is a one-day course which imparts a complete theoretical knowledge on the subject about identifying the stain and possible outcomes of cleaning procedures. Only after the complete assessment of the trainee's level of understanding is he advised to do a practical test. An in-depth knowledge of carpet ingredients like fabric, fiber, dyes and finishing agents is a must. Since carpet cleaning jobs require a lot of patience and expertise in the field, the training module is designed to make the trainee fully capable of handling them. Although this training module does not require an examination, an attendance certification, course manual and three spotting tools, to be used during that day and then taken home, are awarded to the trainees.
