You will want to make detailed plans and the execution of those plans will take about four months. It's not easy to leave your old life behind and it's certainly not an undertaking to be entered into lightly - be completely sure of yourself before you commit to this.



Decide on a destination. If you've talked about a place of interest, then that location is no longer an option. Your new home should be out of the State you are presently residing.

Follow these three steps exactly. First, you will acquire a fake/forged drivers license & birth certificate & social security card for TWO separate identities. Second, you will build your absense gradually and cut all ties with friends/groups/associations. Third, you will sell everything you can to acquire a nest egg of cash. Lastly, open a PO Box in the home town matching that of one identity and register/get car insurance in the county of identity.

A week before you depart, make a point to see all friends/associations/groups to give excuse for absense. Then, destroy/burn all previous identification and place new ID in wallet- the same ID from car registration, along with $100 cash. Place remaining cash and belongings in a suitcase and DRIVE AWAY.

Using the car registration ID, sell the car in a different state - then burn all idendification for this identity and travel to your new home that is in the opposite direction. Try not to fly, as they keep records, and keep your briefcase or bag of cash with you at all times. You're now safe and free from your abuser.
