The Samsung Pixon ? M8800 and the Nokia N97 are two cell phones with slightly different features. I will compare the phones based on size/design, display, battery life, camera/video, data messaging, music and multimedia and connectivity. With so many phones to choose from it is advisable to take sometime out to compare the ones that interest you. Often times, cell phones offer the same features but cost different amounts.



To begin this compare and contrast I am going to start with the similarities of the two. Both phones use the same technology, frequency, bands and data. This mean they have the same operating system, strength for picking up signals and availability to hook up faster network speeds.

Also, they support instant messaging, predictive text entry (which operate like auto complete), text message templates (phrases or sentences pre-typed to help make your message sending simpler) and text messaging. Although the second phone appears to be slightly larger and weighs more it tends to offer some added design features when compared to the other.

Now I will compare the two phones based on battery life, display, camera and video. The first has a battery standby time of 290 hours vs. 400 hours; a talk time of 3.5 hours compared to 5 hours. Next, the display of one phone has 256k bytes of color; resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The second one has 16 million bytes of color and 640 x 360 pixels. Finally, the camera and video features are quite different. One offers video capture, geo tagging, auto focus, secondary video call camera, smile and blink detection, advanced shake reduction, red flash and 8.0 mega pixels. The other has auto focus, Carl Zeiss optics, video capture, video light, 30 FPS, LED Flash and 5.0 mega pixels.

Aside from the camera and video features offered by Samsung Pixon ? M8800, the Nokia N97 offered better features elsewhere. It offers a full touch screen keyboard as well as a manual slide in/out one, has a little over an hour more standby time and 2 hours more talk time and the display shows a clearer picture with brighter lively colors.
