Saving gas not only decreases your expenditure but also helps the economy and the nature. Save the following issues in mind, apply them practically and you save a lot of energy.



Warm-Up of the Engine

1Do not warm up the engine for more than 30 to 45 seconds.

2After the engine warms up be sure to disengage the automatic choke. Usually when the chokes get stuck, bad air /gas mixture is emitted.

3Avoid unnecessary starting and stopping of the engine. An engine in idle for a minute uses the gas amount equivalent to that when your engine starts.

4Keep away from "reving" the engine because this leads to unnecessary waste of fuel.

5Do away with jack-rabbit starts. Accelerate slowly.

Buying

1Gasoline should be bought either early in the morning or later in the evening.

2Examine the brand the and the type of gasoline carefully.

3Do not fill the gas till the brim of the tank.

Driving Economically

1Do not drive at speed more than 40 mph. because if you exceed this speed the vehicle has to prevail over wind resistance.

2Exceeding legal speed limit could be penalized and moreover crossing this speed limit decreases the mileage.

3Do not drive fast in low gears.

4If you are rough at changing the gears, the engine parts will wear away prematurely.

5When travelling on highway at top speed please keep the windows closed.

6Drive Steadily but confidently

7Accelerate before reaching the hill, not on it.

1While drive don't rest the left foot on the floor pedals.

2Whenever possible avoid rough roads.

3Use alternate roads which can decrease the consumption of the gas.

4When the car is idling, allow the automatic transmissions to cool down.

5If you want to save gas avoid reverse gear maneuvers.
