Self Confidence Through Hypnosis

    View:
Self-Confidence is a psychological and emotional state of mind that responds to somebody's need for self-acceptance and peer recognition. It's one among the oldest and most discussed concepts in psychology. It describes a positive but nonetheless realistic perception somebody has of himself or herself and of his or her abilities. Hence, self-confident individuals usually have a better idea of what they are able to do and are more apt to succeed in what they attempt. They will also more readily accept and learn from their mistakes.

On the contrary, a lack of confidence may prevent you from believing your actions or decisions will in the end work out as you had intended. It can thus interfere with the buildup of executive skills, strategic and management capacities all of which are essential and indispensable things in the current business world. The pre-occupation with other people's judgment of your work can also cause you to become overly self-critical, which will distract you from jobs you would otherwise be absolutely capable of doing.

Low self confidence will also affect your social life, because people with low self confidence are more likely to remain in their "comfort zone" and are scared of rejection. This is called social phobia and is commonly associated with low self confidence, as well as other psychological diseases such as depression. People with low self confidence are scared of the judgment of others and will avoid meeting new people, which can result in isolation and even less self confidence. Low self confidence is a vicious cycle that is hard to break.

On the other hand, because they are able to trust their aptitudes, self-confident individuals are able to do what they feel is right and don't expect the approval of their peers. They also inspire confidence: your customers, employees, boss, relatives or friends are more likely to trust you or what you are telling them when you look self-confident.

Numerous experiences can lead to low self confidence. Recent research indicates that parenting style has an important impact on the development of a child's self confidence. Bodily and mental abuses during childhood are for example the most damaging to a person's self confidence, along with family conflicts or divorce. Overprotective parents may also be a reason for a child's social phobia and deter the independence required to develop self confidence. Successes and failures, for example at school or in one's professional life, also play an important role: losing a job or failing a class are some of the several experiences that will have a negative impact your self confidence.

There are nonetheless ways to overcome these bad experiences and increase self confidence. The first step to develop self confidence is to learn to know yourself and your strengths. Acknowledging the fact that you cannot be perfect and cannot be the best in all that you do will help you gain self confidence. Accepting who you are is the key to building self confidence. But improving self confidence also requires that you start taking risks and giving yourself credit for your accomplishments. This is very simple advice that will help you develop self confidence. You may also find a lot of books that will tell you how to gain self confidence, however many of them are not reliable.

Many people suffer from low self confidence or are only able to gain self confidence in one or a few areas of their lives because they always look for other people's approval and are scared that they could fail. Numerous factors, like childhood traumas, can explain why certain people cannot enjoy the wholesome life of a self confident individual. Such individuals also don't always know how to gain self confidence. However improving self confidence can now readily and effectively be done with hypnosis and NLP.

As we have seen before social phobia and low self confidence can be triggered by bad experiences or unconscious fears that can be hard to overcome with self persuasion only. Confidence hypnosis and NLP by contrast are able to reach the unconscious part of the brain and alter belief systems to boost self confidence. They are effective tools that will help you face your fears and trust yourself to develop self confidence.

Confidence hypnosis has been in use for several decades and has shown significant results in building self confidence. In a hypnotized state, getting to unconscious thoughts is a lot easier and, through hypnotic suggestion, it is possible to replace your negative thought patterns with positive ones to build self confidence.
Self Confidence Through Hypnosis
If you want to have more self-confidence then it is important that you understand how your physiology affects your confidence levels and how to use your physiology to become more confident.

The word emotion comes from the Latin word emovere which means moving and displacing. Even in English it is motion with an E in front of it. Basically this tells you that how you move your body determines how you feel.

Try it right now. Sit or stand with your head slumped forwards looking down, your spin curved, your shoulder slumped inwards and see how you feel.

Do you feel full of self confidence?

Probably not because this is how a depressed person holds their body.

Try this ... sit (or stand) with your back straight, your shoulders back, your stomach in, your chest out, your head upright looking forwards and tell me how you feel.

I would imagine that standing like this you feel more confident. Think for a moment about confident people - Superman, Wonder Woman, Oprah, Arnold Schwarzenegger - and look at how they stand and sit. Their physiology is exactly that which I've just described to you. Why? Because it makes them feel more confident.

If you don't have a lot of confidence then standing or sitting like this will feel strange simply because you are not used to it. If you practice this enough it will become second nature and you will find yourself with a confident physiology without having to think about it.

Initially, you are going to have to think about it and remember to consciously hold this self confident physiology. I'd recommend you study some confident role models. It doesn't matter if they are fictional characters from TV or movies or really people, so long as they are confident. Just watch James Bond walk and you will see how he is confident. Does he let his shoulders slump forwards and look depressed? No.

Copy their physiology and practice standing in that way. You may be a bit shy at first so do it at home to get the hang of it. Once you are used to it, then you can take it outside to public places. Notice how differently you feel when you use this self confident physiology. Notice also how differently people react to you.

Whilst self confidence is a mental process, it does come from your physiology. The more you use a confident physiology, the more confident you will become longer term. It won't be long before you find yourself using the confident physiology without even thinking about it.
