Many people have resorted to hypnosis to solve their personal problems and self-hypnosis works just and effective, just as well, as hypnosis. Like any other things, there are some important notes you have to take before you embark on self-hypnosis. The very first thing is to get a self-hypnosis ready and get it memorized. After you are done with the memorizing, you need to know what type of tones you need to use at different times of the self-hypnosis session. Do some research or look for some video to guide you in this. Also, do not waste your energy worrying about not able to hypnotize yourself. Self-hypnosis is a simple and easy skill that anyone can master. Here is a simple technique which isn't hard to master and can be used in a wide variety of circumstances.
Monitor your surroundings
You should also take into account your environment, factors which could make a huge difference to your session include the background noise, the lighting in the room and whether or not you are going to need any equipment such as for recording your session.
We begin the session by sitting erect but in a comfortable way on a straight-backed chair. Take in several big and deep breaths slowly and gently through your nose. Exhale the air through your mouth. When you are doing this, close your eyes and repeat to yourself the phrase "My whole body feels relax and calm. On the other hand, your mind should be fully concentrated on your breathing. You should continuously breathe in through your nose, then count to 3 and exhale through your mouth for the count of 9, pause for 3 sec and continue this pattern of breathing. The more you practice, the more you are familiar with this and the easier it gets for you to be relax. When you are done with your upper body, it is time to relax your lower body which is your legs. Again, repeat to yourself "My legs are limp and heavy" Soon, your legs will feel heavy and numb. When you felt this, do not be shocked and surprised by it. You are still in complete command of your lower body and so just relax.
Repeat this process throughout the rest of your body, your arms, hands, solar plexus, chest, stomach, head, and all of your body parts until you feel heavy and limp.
When you are totally relaxed and your body feels as though it doesn't belong to you, now is the time to focus on your problem. If you are self-hypnotizing to quit smoking then imagine your lungs feeling clean and you are able to breathe more easily. This can be altered for any situation or problem, just focus on the situation you wish to change or the problem at hand. Let yourself do this for between 5 to 15 minutes then gently awaken yourself by repeating the phrase ?wake up? or ?your are awakened.?
Sit quietly for a few minutes focusing on how you feel and your body feels, this can be repeated as often as you wish and is not only a great way to make changes in your life but also to beat stress and strain of everyday life. So what are you waiting for, head out to the your nearest bookstore and read more on self-hypnosis. May you succeed in life!
