Sell Website Ad Space
Google has been around for years now, and for many reason they are a dominator in ad space success, placement and sales. But how can you make them work for you? What does it take to be apart of this and how much does it pay? What are the adsense scams and how can I steer clear of them? All these questions and more will be covered in the articles of adsense 101. Putting your website to work. Topic: (Adsense optimization, adsense, adsense forum, adsense secrets, making money with adsense, adsense alternative, adsense tricks, make money with adsense, and adsense cheats)
Google adsense and adwords are two different things, but they have a few similarities. Mostly adsense is just a newer way, of doing the same old thing. The biggest difference is you can choice how to get paid, such as per click (CPC) or per a thousand impressions. (CPM)
Of course there are new features and capabilities that out-perform adwords. Features such as an instantaneous bid, which means based on the context of your site, two or more text based ads will compete for the one spot. The highest bidder will get the spot. So if your site is visited, before the page even appears, the battle will be won… the one who bid the highest will get the space. So if one bids 80 cents and the other bids a $1.00 per click, you will then get the higher amount per click for this ad. And on and on for all your adsense ads!
Once you have been approved for the program, (See below where I talk about what qualifies and disqualifies a site.), you will merely be provided a contextually specific html code for your site, which will generate the bidding and the final ads placed on your page. That's all you have to do! Copy the code onto your page, and Google does the rest! This makes adsense optimization, easy!
What is meant by contextual is the ads that are displayed on your page are content specific. If you have a site about Medicare, then you may see adsense ads from pharmacies and so on. The content of the ads will never directly compete with your site, or distract to your site. It actually looks good on your site, because it is as though these are merely links you are providing for customers, based on products similar enough to yours to get clicks, but dissimilar enough to not distract from your site!
In a nutshell here is what will make your website unqualified for the program:
• Your website has a lot of ads already.
• You have ads from another competing company, (Yahoo etc.)
• Your website has pornographic/adult content.
• Your site contains bigotries and other excessive displays of hatred.
• Your site contains excessive violence/bloody graphics.
• Other as determines by Google.
Once you have decided to participate in adsense, you will need to pay a small, nonrefundable fee for your website to be evaluated for the quality in your content and to make sure there is no cheating or hidden keywords, which can be used to erroneously draw people to a site, which upon review is found to contain none of the products or information they were looking for!
Note: It is very important you make sure your site contains none of these things, because it will disqualify you and you will loose the fees you have paid!
