There are other whitening creams and ointments out there that will reduce the appearance of freckles and scars, but again, long term use is recommended for best results.

Whether you decide to go for nationally know cosmetic brands or you want to try generic, or even natural, organic products, always read the label to determine ingredients. Make sure that you are not allergic to any of those listed, and then, to be on the safe side, perform a skin test with your new product before you apply it to large areas of your skin, not matter whether it's made for face or body care.
