I'm not saying NO capital at all, but very LOW capital that is required to start making money online. When comparing with traditional businesses, costs involved in an online business are significantly lesser. You don't need to pay rent, you don't need to pay for office equipments (just use the computer you are already using), and you don't have to hire a lot of staff to start your online business either.

2. Minimal Overhead Costs

Other than your Internet connection fees, hosting fees and a couple of other miscellaneous fees, you practically do not have anything else like a traditional business do.

3. Online Business is Flexible

This is a crucial advantage over traditional business; most of us are too lazy to stick to the strict office hour that applies to most office jobs. Nobody cares if you wake up in the middle of the night to work and sleep late the next day, or you can take a week off from work and go on a vacation at any time of the year.

4. Mobility

You can operate your business wherever you want as long as you have an internet connection there. It can be your bedroom, toilet, Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro or Caribbean, it doesn't matter.

5. Global Market

Internet has no boundaries, cultural or territorial. More and more people are getting to the internet for a variety of reasons from sourcing for information to shopping online. This is indeed one of the fastest growing markets in the world today.

6. Automation

If you want to make money but don't want to work 8 hours a day 5 days a week, internet is for you. The level of automation provided by software cannot be found anywhere else. Leveraging on these technologies helps you to put more time on planning your online business instead of doing routine technical works every day.

7. Netrepreneurship

That means you are your own boss, you are an internet entrepreneur. How much you make and what you do is entirely your decision. Your destiny is in your hands! The best part is nobody tells you what time to wake up on a Monday morning! (I'm sure you love this.)

Most importantly use your website to convince your visitors to buy your product. Your website can help you to put your business in the spotlight. Your website is a tool that must be able to tell the world who you are, what you have to offer to the world, and how your website visitors can benefit.

One of the most important parts of your web presence is the content you create for your site. You have complete control over your content and you have to make sure that each projects an accurate description of the services or products you offer. If you are an accountant, writing useful content is an excellent way to position your self as an expert. The more selling your site can do for you that last selling will you have to be doing.

In addition to content for your site, you should be writing articles on an ongoing basis. When you write an article you immediately differentiate yourself from your competition. When your customers will read the articles you write they will consider you an expert.

If you have any video of any of your presentations, you should consider making it available to your website visitors. Video is quickly becoming the standard and web presence marketing. You may think that you have to be a pro to have your video or audio on your website, but it is easier than you may think.

Another important strategy to get the word out about your business is linking to related websites. Links are what the Internet is about. Creating an effective linking strategy can be time consuming but it is part of a successful online presence.

There are many ways to get the word out about your website. There is not one way but many. It is worth the time invested. Now go and get the word out!
