Ghaziabad is an industrial city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located at northern part of Uttar Pradesh. In shape it is roughly rectangular, its length is 72 Kms and its breadth is 37 Kms. On the north it is bounded by the district of Meerut, on the south by that of Bulandshahar and Gautambudh Nagar and on the south west by the national capital Delhi State and on the east by the district Jyotibaphule nagar.

Established in 1976, this rapidly developing town comprises the part of the upper ganges plain, historically known as the land east of Sapta Sindu.
