A long time ago, in an apartment far far away, I suffered with stomach ulcers. For 2 years I suffered repeated attacks. At first, I was none the wiser as to the gnawing pains in my solar plexus.I awoke very often at about 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning with a throbbing pain in my stomach. The pain would last about 4 to 5 hours.I drank repeated glasses of water to help flush the contents of my stomach further down the digestive tract. I had no idea I was actually suffering from a stomach ulcer, and by the time it got bad enough for me to decide to seek medical help, it seemed to disappear, only to reappear a few weeks later, and a little more intensely. One thing I did notice though, was that eating toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches seemed to bring on an attack. I also noticed a degree of acid reflux happening, perhaps a couple of hours before an episode of stomach pain. I was also aware that another possible cause of my discomfort was that I was constipated. This indicated that my digestive system was clogged, possibly causing the heartburn.Little did I know, that these were all symptoms of a stomach ulcer.
Bleeding stomach ulcers
A good friend of mine was admitted to hospital for bleeding ulcers.A bleeding ulcer is something you don't want to mess with. It almost cost him his life. What happened to him was that he was unaware of the severity of his condition. It was hidden due to the large number of iron tablets he was taking. One of the symptoms of a bleeding ulcer is dark brown, almost black stools. Iron tablets will give you the same result if taken in large doses. Another symptom of a bleeding stomach ulcer is blood in your vomit. This will appear like dark coffee granules. If it's bright red then perhaps you have a different problem, still, one can never be too sure.Let's get back to my friends story. He passed out in the bathroom, regained consciousness a few minutes later and dragged himself to the lounge where he managed to phone an ambulance, get the front door open, passed out again and awoke with an intravenous in his arm. He only had one litre of blood left in him when he arrived at the hospital.
My recommendation
Stomach ulcers have been around for a long time, but modern medicine is relatively new. The western medical profession is very drug oriented, and even though there are some marvellous developments, they seem to be missing the bigger picture. A good doctor should examine all avenues of healing and administer the best possible solution. With that in mind, my recommendation for dealing effectively with a stomach ulcer, is to go and have it checked out by a medical doctor, get a comprehensive examination so you know if you have a bleeding ulcer or not.
Stop taking any strong painkillers or other medication that could damage your stomach lining, then, go see an ayurvedic doctor.

Stomach Ulcer And Symptoms
Stomach ulcer symptoms are characterized by a burning sensation in the stomach, sometimes mistaken for heartburn. These symptoms can last anywhere from one half hour to several hours and may happen at any time. Although once thought to be caused mainly by stress, recent research shows that some stomach ulcers
may be caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacteria which can be passed from person to person through kissing and contaminated foods.
There are two types of ulcers that people think of as stomach or peptic ulcers, the gastric ulcer which is actually formed in the stomach and the duodenal ulcer which forms beyond the stomach and the first foot of the small intestine. Stomach ulcers affect millions of people each year.
To relieve stomach ulcer symptoms naturally, your best bet is to change your eating habits. Certain foods can irritate ulcers and should be avoided which include spicy and fried foods, fatty foods and acidic foods. Although many people think that milk is a good way to relieve ulcer symptoms it should be taken in small amounts as the milk proteins can cause more gastric acids to be made which can irritate your ulcer. You should also avoid aspirin, tea, coffee, ibuprofen, alcohol and cigarettes.
Another natural way to relieve symptoms of a stomach ulcer is to make sure your diet is rich in soluble fiber. Some say that cabbage can help heal an ulcer as it contains glutamine which has been shown to heal ulcers and is also very high in fiber.
Other lifestyle changes such as de-stressing, meditating and yoga can help with stress-induced ulcers and no matter what kind of ulcer you have they certainly can't hurt!
While finding natural ways to relieve your stomach ulcer symptoms is a good idea you also want to be sure that you visit your doctor to be sure that an ulcer is actually what you have and to find out about any treatments that might be better for your particular ulcer. You can also be tested for the Helicobacter pylori bacterium and if this is present, your doctor may recommend a regimen of antibiotics to kill off the bacteria and possibly cure your ulcer for good.
No matter which treatments you're using to relieve your symptoms or possibly cure your ulcer altogether you need to give them time to work. You might see relief in a few days but you want to give it at least six weeks before you give up on the treatment.
While stomach ulcers are common they are nothing to take lightly. More than 4 million Americans will develop an ulcer each year and 40,000 of them will have surgery due to stomach ulcer symptoms. While ulcers are not usually fatal about 6000 Americans die from complications related to ulcers every year.

Black Tea Side Effects Compared to other varieties of teas, black tea has the highest caffeine content and is probably due to the way it is processed since it undergoes a full oxidation which gives it a uniquely stong taste
