Strength Training For Football

We all want to look better, feel younger, reduce risk of illness and live a healthy, happy life for a very long time. Many of us wonder how we can achieve this or is it something that we just hope for? Wouldn't it be wonderful if our bodies were equipped with some form of warning signal that was activated by too little exercise, or not enough good food - but unfortunately they aren't?



In other words, we shouldn't wait for our bodies to start protesting before we change our lifestyle. We need to change our habits sooner rather than later if we want to live a healthy long life. Although this is really easy to say it is much harder to do.

We constantly hear about the benefits of exercise, yet many of us don't really make a commitment or make the time for exercise regularly for many various reasons. We get busy, we get lazy and we have other much more important things to do.

We know that exercise is good for us and would make our life so much better, but it seems like too much trouble and too much work.

Did you not read the latest memo? These are no longer valid excuses to avoid exercise. We need to embrace a can do attitude as it is all about what you should prioritize and what could be more important than your health?

Exercise is a really good habit to cultivate. When you develop this good habit, you not only improve your health and fitness but you also develop a skill. That skill will help you to form other good habits. If you have trained yourself with the discipline to get up early and exercise a couple of mornings per week, you will find it easy for yourself to develop other good habits such as staying organized, choosing good foods, getting enough sleep, reading more books or watching less TV.

You will find that when you exercise first thing in the morning you will have started the day off right and be so much further ahead than everybody else. You will be able to perform tasks with a greater intensity for the remainder of the day. You will feel really good as you know you are taking a proactive approach to protecting your health and towards disease prevention. You will also be giving your mind a chance to sort out life's busyness, figuring out solutions to problems and relieving stress.

Switching over to a lifestyle that includes regular exercise does involve a decision, and a commitment to do so, you can't just wait until you feel like it.

If you find that you are telling yourself that exercise is hard, you don't like it and that it is boring change the messages that you send to yourself. Tell yourself frequently that exercising your body is fun, it is so good for you and you will learn to enjoy it.

The results are very definitely in, and have been for a long time as research has shown over and over again that people who participate in a proper exercise program that includes strength training exercise enjoy many health benefits. When we take action and restore muscle tone and strength, fatigue just melts away as our energy level increases.

If you have taken any serious steps towards setting a list of priorities for your life you would have noticed that health at the top of your list. Not only can you live a longer life but you can live a longer youth and prolong your vitality indefinitely. That should be enough reason to get started right away if you are not already doing so.

It's really all about how you feel - Research has shown that proper exercise programs do a lot more than strengthen your heart and build your bones - it improves how you feel about yourself and your outlook on life. Research shows that the better you feel about yourself and the more effectively you manage stress, the calmer you will be, the better your overall health is likely to be and the more you will enjoy life.

It is not only the outside you need to exercise; the inside is just as important if not more. The better we feel about ourselves the better environment we create around us making other people happy as well. And if you are enthusiastic about exercising you might pass it on to someone who is not active and help them to change their life.

The physical needs and outcomes of exercise, whether it's to tone muscle, lose weight, address obesity or increase lifespan, dominates what we hear about, but lots of people who exercise don't see stark physical benefits. This message needs to be rewritten. When you exercise you are going to feel better, you will sleep better, and have more energy. You will also have increased confidence, a feeling of well being and a sense of self that result from your efforts as you are doing something for yourself. This carries over into every aspect of your daily life.

While increasing your performance and energy through strength training exercise, you may discover there are also benefits to your mental health. Not only does strength training make your body work better it will make you happier as well and will give you a health state of mind. It is a great way to blow off the stress, anxiety, and tension of the day and increases the ability to relax and be calm.

Studies show that you will be less likely to suffer from depression when you improve your strength and fitness. Physical exercise is great brain exercise too as by moving your body, your brain has to learn new muscle skills, estimate distance and practice balance.

It has been well proven that we all need physical activity to be healthy. People who exercise regularly feel better mentally and physically, improve their health, reduce the risk of disease and increase their chances of staying fit and independent as they age.

Instead of exercising because you "have to," you do it because you want to; and it becomes part of who you are. This approach to becoming more active is for the whole person and can bring true "health" rather than just "fitness."

By shifting the focus from how exercise makes you look to how it makes you feel may help people start, maintain or even appreciate an exercise program. If you are having motivational roadblocks with exercise because you are trying to spot reduce your midsection, ask yourself do you feel better, sleep better or have more energy during the day. Do not neglect to look at those very important and positive outcomes because you are so focused on your belly.

Exercise is one of the most important things you can do for your mind and your body.

It's never too late to start, but the sooner you start the sooner you can reap the benefits.
