It also could require a person to walk with a cane because of the break or it may take away their ability to walk altogether. Osteoporosis can be prevented if you start taking calcium when you're young. Calcium will help keep your bones strong and unbreakable throughout the rest of your life. So, talk to your doctor and see how much calcium you should be getting per day. Once you know the dosage, you can choose the right type of calcium for you.

Taking calcium doesn't have to be boring anymore. You can choose from pills, chews or even ?candy? to get your recommended dose of calcium.
