Some 3 months ago, I fell down a flight of stairs and amongst other things, I broke my wrist. It was my own fault, but it sure has made it difficult to work online and my infant business has been put on life support.
To my surprise, the accident has turned out to be a blessing. Since I was unable to do very much for the first couple of months, I was forced to sit around and just read and THINK. Particularly think about my business or, lack of it, and try to figure out what I was doing wrong.
I came to realize that I didnt really know what kind of business I had. This may sound a little strange to some, but anyone, who starts an internet business for the first time, will know, or remember, what its like to lack the necessary tools and knowledge.
Youll know, how easy it is to end up being guided by the content of your email box and the sales letters that follow. At least thats what happened to me.
I found myself being persuaded to jump from one shiny product to another, always believing that the last one was the right one. Along the way I spent a lot of money I couldnt afford to spend, and I gained very little in the way of tools and useful knowledge.
I was everywhere and nowhere, trying new things and taking on more programs and systems than it was humanly possible for me to work with. Some of them I didnt even understand.
Even today, somewhere, in the depth of my hard drive is a folder with dozens of programs, some of them still in the still in their original Zip files. I was going to study them ....one day. Now, Im ashamed to think of it and I think itll be awhile before I muster the courage to find that folder.
I have made so many costly mistakes. I tend to adopt a can do attitude and jump in head first. This is not a helpful personality trait when knowledge is limited.
My approach even caused me to get banned by Google before I had a chance to launch my first ad. Why? Well, the very complicated training, that came with one of my smart new programs, caused me to make more than a few mistakes with the ads.
So I figured, as the ads were no good, Id cancel them before they were launched, and then just start fresh. Little did I know that nothing is ever canceled in Google. It simply hangs around, like a bad smell, sending out negative odors to Google, who soon told me that my ads didnt measure up to their standards.
I knew that! thats why they were canceled.
Of course, Google was right, I was totally green, but had I not been given some instructions I couldnt understand, it would never have happened. I finally canceled that program, and for once, I got my money back, but it was a big blow to my ego and cost me a lot of valuable time. On reflection though, its probably fair to say that my ban saved me a heap of money in Google ads.
About a month ago when I was finally able to go back on the internet for a little while each day, it was mostly to read and to practice my one finger typing. What really excited me was that a fundamental change had happened to the way I approached my business.
I started looking for a program, and yes, I said A program, just one, which could fulfill a criteria I had formulated while I was off the computer. It worked like this; For me to buy a program, it had to be easy to understand and make sense to everyone, even to those not involved on the internet.
Under no circumstances could I add an additional new program unless it would enhance or benefit the function of the program I already had. I wanted it to have more than one source of income, I wanted flexibility and by necessity, it had to be very cheap. I wanted a system I would be proud to recommend, even to my own family.
I didnt want the program to be subscription based, I see those type of programs as a kind of financial terminal decease. Ultimately theyll kill you, when all those little, so reasonable amounts you agree to pay, finally add up to your monthly income.
But most of all, the program had to include the necessary tools along with an easy to understand, step by step training program for setting up and operating the system.
This criteria has proved to be the best thing I have done so far. Its kept me in check. Ive had to rethink my every move and these days it takes me a couple of weeks to make a decision to buy something.
So did I find a program to suit my criteria? The answer is yes, and believe it or not, it turned out to be free. It has everything I want, including multiple, passive streams of income, but I doubt I would have found it, if my accident hadnt forced me to stop and reflect on what is important to make my business successful.
I strongly recommend to anyone starting an internet business to develop a similar criteria before you even start, and to do it before you spend any money. A critical part of the criteria should include a budget, based on your income and debt ratio, with a non-negotiable cap on the maximum you can spend on a product.
If you are interested to learn what I finally chose as the right program for me, it may surprise you! it did me! Youll find a link below.
Symptoms Of A Broken Wrist
Sadly, some 3 months ago, I fell down a flight of stairs and amongst other things, I broke my wrist. It was entirely my own fault, but it sure has made it difficult to write. My infant business had to be placed on life support.
But, believe it or not, the accident has turned out to be a godsend. Since I couldn't do anything for the first couple of months, I was forced instead to THINK. Particularly think about my business or, lack thereof and try to figure out what I was doing wrong.
I realized, I didn't really have a handle on my own business. I was everywhere, trying new things and taking on more programs and systems than it was humanly possible for me to work with. Some of them I didn't even fully understand.
Even today, somewhere, in the depth of my hard drive is a folder with dozens of programs, some of them still in the Zip files. I was going to study them ....one day. Now, it embarrasses me to think of it and it'll be awhile before I muster the courage to find that folder.
About a month ago, I finally felt well enough to return to the internet for a little while each day. It was mostly to read and to practice my one finger typing. What really excited me was that a fundamental change had occurred in my thinking.
I started looking for a program, and yes, I said (a) program, just one, which could fulfil the criteria I had formulated while I was off the computer. It worked like this; it had to be easy to understand and it had to make sense to anyone. Even to those not involved on the internet.
The program had to have more than one source of income, I wanted it to be flexible and I wanted it to have a comprehensive training program for setting up and operating the system. I did not want it to be subscription based, and finally, I wanted it to be cheap. I wanted a system I would be proud to recommend to anyone, including my own family.
Are you thinking; She is expects way too much and she's unrealistic? Maybe, but you see, I had the time to look, I could work the mouse, and I could be very picky because I wasn't in a position to do much else anyway. So I researched and kept looking, until I unexpectedly found something which was so good, I simply couldn't afford to pass it up.
So right there, at that moment, I decided that typing with one finger really wasn't such a big deal.
You probably wonder if this program/system, can match my criteria. Frankly, it doesn't, it exceeds it. The program is free and this is not one of those occasions where you sign up for free and then they tell you what you need to pay to make it really work. In this case, free actually means just that FREE.
The system is extremely flexible, yet it combines 22 individual, passive streams of income, all of them resourced from large reputable companies. It also comes with the best comprehensive training program I have ever seen.
The program is still in beta, so there are occasional bugs in the system, but experience has taught me that beta is a good thing. It's a chance for a regular person like me to get to promote a product before the Guru's get in there and suck the life out of it.
One of the 22 streams of income is a bank. The bank is brand new to the internet and to promote their presence on the net, they pay $100, for each and every sign up, to both the seller and the buyer. I can't think what could be better than that.
I have wondered many times, why has this kind of system never been done before? But all I'll say is, unless you have two broken wrists, or are making way too much money already, this is something you truly cannot afford to miss.
