At times people have relationship problems, they have problems due to factors like money, at work and a number of other factors are responsible for a person feeling anxious, depressed and stressed out. When all these factors get severe, the person might have a nervous breakdown. A person who is unable to carry out his day to day activities like any other normal person may suffer from nervous breakdown.



The symptoms of nervous breakdown

Nerves usually stretch but they do not break and the person with a nervous breakdown starts withdrawing from everything. Loss of appetite, inability to sleep and laziness to any kind of work can leave a person feel worn out and tired. Thus, this leads to a feeling of emotionally instability and mental draining.

A person loses his confidence and self esteem, which are the causes of depression and anxiety. People suffering from nervous breakdown avoid socializing with people and they experience a feeling of loneliness. The best way to reduce the feeling of anxious and less confident can be done is being surrounded by positive people who value you and respect you. It always better to respect and trust the family, friends and colleagues who are the best people who remind you with your positive points.

A person might face any sort of problem related to relationship, money, work or any other factor in his day to day life. These problems when worsen up, lead to a person feeling anxious, depressed and stressed out. When this anxiety, stress and depression increase to an uncontrollable level, then a person might suffer from a nervous breakdown.

Nervous breakdown is very disturbing and also damages one's self confidence. The person loses the motivation and energy to do things that he would perform daily and these seem to be impossible for him. Nervous breakdown has an impact on your work and on personal relationships that leads to concern and worry. Pressures in life contribute to nervous breakdown. Life pressures that are unbearable and intolerable lead to nervous breakdown.

Anything that affects the mind is bound to affect the body. The factors such as the physical, dietary and genetic along with the past experiences and the mental condition determine the person's ability to handle the stresses of life, expectations and disappointments. The feelings of anxiety, depression and stress disturb the lives of the people.

The person might feel tired and de motivated. The person is unable to perform his daily routine tasks. Even a piece of simple work becomes very difficult for him. With a right support and treatment, quick recovery is possible.

When a person suffers from nervous breakdown, he is not capable of performing his day to day activities in a normal way and unable to cope up with his daily challenges. An inability to sleep, a loss of appetite and laziness sets in and this makes a person feel exhausted. A feeling of emotionally instability sets in and the person experiences loss of confidence and self esteem. All these factors together lead to anxiety and depression.

How to reduce the intensity of Nervous Breakdown?

The most important step one suffering from Nervous Breakdown must visit the doctor as a doctor can explore a variety of treatments for the outbreak of this disorder. The medical remedy might include anti depressant or tranquilizers to aid the symptoms of anxiety, depression or sleep disorders. Other types of treatments include talking treatment like counseling or psychotherapy.

Other methods include exercises or therapies like yoga, reflexology or reiki. Medical treatments have a variety of psychiatric drugs for the treatment of mental health problems. All these medicines cause unwanted side effects due to the use of antidepressant. Drugs effect on people in different people in different manner.

The common symptoms include blurred vision, nausea, constipation, rashes, anxiety, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Benzodiazepines actually calm the brain. They react on all parts of the brain including the areas of rational thought, memory, emotions and essential functions such as breathing. For the treatment of anxiety related problems such as palpations and tremor, one can be treated by the beta blockers.

The term nervous breakdown was used for the first time around 1930 and is still in usage. Generally, it is indicative of a wide range of mental sickness but more specifically it means breaking,snapping or losing hope in high mental pressure or stress scenarios.

Nervous breakdown also known as mental breakdown is a non-clinical expression describing states of anxiety, depression and other related mental sickness. In extreme cases of breakdown, a human may not be able to perform day to day activities and may need professional intervention. Causes of a nervous breakdown are described below but the descriptions don't cover all possible reasons.

Certain reasons for example are still under research and some are yet to be discovered. Persistent and unanswered grief or angst or misery may cause a person to breakdown. The mentioned generic terms manifest themselves in different forms in different individuals. For example it may be a lost promotion for an employee or theft of a personal gift. Unemployment and repetitive work cycles lead to sustained tension for the period of the problem. It may also cause loss of morale, confidence and self-respect which will act as an invitation for nervous crashes.

Academic non-performance and intellectual pressure are the major cause for breakdowns in children, teenagers and young adults around the world. Increasing parental expectations, peer pressure and highly competitive studying environments all contrive to an immense fear psychosis of underperforming / underachieving in the mentioned affected group of people.

Social stress as in loss in status or being expelled from a social circle is also a reason for breakdowns. Here the affected group is dependent on the level of individualism present in the people under consideration. Soldiers and defense personnel faced with post-war trauma are also candidates susceptible to mental breakdowns. Often they are not able to cope with gore, death and the loss of war and never make peace with their past.

Sleeplessness also called chronic insomnia; make people restless, lethargic and uneasy even after they wake up and lead to a nervous wreck. A grave disease or death in a person's family, troubled marriages, divorce, pregnancy, being cheated in love and getting double crossed by friends are other reasons for the advent of a nervous breakdown.

Persistent drug use or alcohol consumption and alcohol use is a self induced cause for mental crashes. On the other hand medical situations like genetic disorders, mineral deficiencies and thyroidal imbalances are all causes of breakdowns, which mostly are not controllable by the patient.
