How important is time management'If you already own a home business you have certainly experienced time management issues, especially at the start. Having had a job to go to, being responsible for certain tasks in a given environment, it is not easy to adjust to the new requirements of a homebased business. In the beginning I was spending too much time reading all the emails coming in every day because I thought I would miss a great opportunity if I did not. As time went by I started skipping a few and then deleted more and more, unread. I listened to a few experienced marketers and began to take control of my time. I made a list of all the tasks I was aware of, that would be important to develop my home business. Next thing was that I put them in different groups after an evaluation of how important they are to take my business to the next level. In order to succeed the fastest, I decided that the no #1 priority belongs to the marketing group of activities. So everyday I would do a small marketing project to increase the PR of my website. A better page rank (PR) on google means, as everybody might know already, that more people get to see your website and might be interested in receiving your newsletter or getting more informtions about your service. There are quite a few methods to increase the number of links pointing back to your website. One of the best is article writing and publishing on various article directories. This way you can become known as an expert author for your niche at the same time as people start downloading and publishing your articles all over the internet. That means you get even more links pointing back to your website. Together with your articles, your name and often your picture will brand your business.Find out at what time of day you can work the best. Is it in the morning right after you got out of bed or rather in the evening when everybody else has gone to sleep and nothing is distracting you from your work. Take these few hours of the day you tend to get the most work done and fill it with the most important tasks that will bring your business forward. My hours are in the morning quite early, I use to get up between 6 and 7, have a glass of water and a cup of coffee and start with checking my mail. Making this list of tasks and going through the thought process will reveal a whole lot more about your business than reading one report after the other. It will help you to make a time management plan. Sometimes less time will bring in more results. How is that? When you do have little time to create a new marketing project for example because there is a dentist appointment or Aunt Katie comes over to visit, you are forced to get focused to get it done. The time management will be more effective. The day has 24 hours everywhere. The way you choose to use your time will determine the outcome. Have you ever thought about time as having a certain value?Everybody would agree that money has a value but a lot of people don't realize what their time is worth for them. If you give it a second thought you will notice that human time is limited. At young age time seems endless but when you get older it is easier to realize that you are moving slowly, slowly towards transformation(death). I certainly don't want to scare anybody but let's be somewhat realistic. Being aware of the value time has for you will strengthen your will to be effective on it's own accord. So it is a good idea to ponder about what it is that is most important to you in life and this way to take the control over your life and your happiness. If you can manage your time to your own satisfaction you own your business - the business doesn't own you.
