As a supporter and coordinator of volunteer activities for Aaron Russo in 2006 I found myself a wee bit too visible on the radar. Award winning movie producer Russo was taking on the Federal Reserve and the IRS in his documentary feature length movie "America From Freedom to Fascism". I coordinated some well attended meetings with Russo and his volunteers here in Los Angeles and participated in some peace rallies with those volunteers where we carried banners proclaiming "Want to End The Iraq War? Shut Down The Federal Reserve".
My compensation for my hard work included getting my bank account statement in my mailbox ripped open (after seeing my vapid bank account balance they suddenly left me alone lol), finding my Ford's windows shattered and documents in my automobile left in a different disarray than I had left them, getting almost run off the road and other highlight reel experiences.
When I observed the shattered car window on the pavement I said to myself, "son, you are doing something right but you are doing something wrong". And I did pull back a bit to be less of a target. But I now have a very popular blog for the freedom movement and the Ron Paul Revolution (which originated with Aaron Russo by the way).
There are so many revolutions happening these days that one requires a score card to keep track. One of these is one that even the most timid can participate in because it is totally anonymous. And it is anonymous naturally, not because anyone tried to make it anonymous.
This is a movement which targets the auto industry and the oil industry.
Were you aware...
1. That Exxon raked in $8 billion in profits last year while gas prices at the pump doubled and tripled.
2. That the price for a barrel of crude was $18 prior to Sept 2001 and we now pay over one hundred dollars and this is soaring
3. That a vehicle 100 years ago did 40% better on gas mileage than a automobile in 2008
4. That the average automobile only utilizes 20% of the gas that you pump into it which is why you have a catalytic converter... to pass the unburnt, unused gas out the back
5. That if a gallon of gas costs $3.30, 10% of that goes to inflation (figure .30 cents) and about .47 cents pays for taxation of some type. So about 25% of what we spend on gas goes to the government.
As with any bad situation in society, if people unite and take action they can bring about change.
As regards fuel prices the best solution is to drop out completely. No, I am not suggesting to walk and ride your bicycle to the office as they do in Japan. I am here to tell you that you can convert your gas engine to hydrogen and never need to purchase another gallon of gas again. Even if you only convert to a hybrid you will be saving up to 35% on gas consumption, possibly more. So unless Big Brother puts nazi inspectors in charge of surveillance under your vehicle's hood, this would be a completely anonymous activity and an effective revolution!
Also you will be empowering your car to function better, and you will be helping the environment to be cleaner and healthier for all of us to live in and you can have the satisfaction of knowing that you are part of a revolution against the auto makers and oil companies and you can say that with regards to the price of gas ... "we ain't buyin' it anymore"
