Recently I applied for a better position within my company. I have been serving for them for many years now and have worked my way up through hard work, determination and a outstanding attendance. When applying for the role I was very sure in myself that I would land it, but to my amazement I was snubbed of this position. It went to a much younger member of the team who to my records has not been with the company that long.?
I was invited into my manager's office for talk. It was then that he informed me that I had not got the position that I had gone for but that a young female had got it. She was the best employee for the role he informed me, and that they were pleased with the decision that they had made.
He then nodded and turned away to let me know that I was to go! The cheek of the man! He knew I was the best employee for the job and there was something strange going on. She had only been with the corporation a brief time and I did not think she was particularly good at what she did..
I mulled things over and realized that stress over my job was interfering with my health. I had to do something. I invested in a spy phone. I had to get to the bottom of this! I worked late one night and sneaked into my manager's office. I planted my cellular spy phone behind some books. I was going to find out exactly what was going on!.
The very next day I got my answer. She went in to a meeting with my manager to talk about her new job. The talk turned out to be mostly about me. ?He is totally useless. He never gives me any help and slows everything down. Plus, you know he messed up the annual figures, don't you?? Me? It was her who had taken over the responsibility for the report, refused any backing from me and ruined the whole thing. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! The two timing little madam. She came out of the office, meeting my icy glare with a fake smile. I would have to catch her out, now I knew what she was up to. I got my chance the very next day..
The very next day she approached my desk all smiles and very pleasant towards me, oblivious that I knew exactly what was going on. She had the nerve to ask a favour of me. She had to do a report and present it to potential clients but needed some help doing it. Seeing this was my chance I agreed to help. This was my chance to get my revenge on her, so I done to her report exactly what she had done to me. When doing her presentation, all was not what it seemed. I don't think the potential clients liked what she had to say, neither did my boss. I was soon called back in to his office and offered the role which should've originally been mine.
