This side of the island is expensive but has some gorgeous accommodation and restaurants. The calm waters of the west coast are a great place for swimming while the active traveller can also enjoy water skiing, jet skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving. The west coast reefs also create great waves at the right time of year.

The greatest cultural heritage that Barbados gave the world was on the cricket field with the island producing some of the greatest batsmen and bowlers who ever lived.
