Hilton Johnson and his wife, Lisa, founders of Hilton Johnson Productions, Inc., HealthCoachTraining and HealthCoachingU, are pioneers in the health coaching industry. They began back in 1990 offering innovative coaching programs using web-based technology, and today, they offer a 12-month certification training program that combines both health training and coach training.



The new certification program isn't all about health. It also teaches marketing and sales, because all of the coach training in the world doesn't matter if you have no clients to coach. Hilton Johnson has worked with many top leaders of the industry including Bob Proctor, Brian Tracy, T. Harv Eker, Zig Ziglar, Marcia Wieder, Loral Langemeier and Vic Johnson.

Like most people, Hilton Johnson's passions have changed with time. He didn't start out as a health nut. He was mostly interested in music and women in his younger days. He stopped chasing women when he met his wife, but it was his brother's sudden heart attack death that changed his music passion into a health passion.

His brother's death caused Hilton Johnson to reevaluate his own health. He felt okay, but so do most people with heart disease. After extensive tests, Hilton underwent a five-way bypass surgery. Many diseases such as diabetes and heart disease can go undetected for years without proper health checkups and healthy lifestyles. Most don't notice symptoms until it's too late.

Health coaching isn't for everyone. Like anything, it's almost impossible to succeed without first having a passion for what you're pursuing. Even if you have a passion for health, you'll also need to have or develop other skills. Presentation skills, marketing skills, and business sense all play vital roles in the business.

You might be surprised to know that Hilton Johnson puts a passion for money at the top of his must-have list when telling others what is necessary for success. Why? Money isn't really all that important to people who already have it, but for those who don't, they'll work extra hard to get it. Only after you have personal success can you achieve global success.
