Most business owners run their businesses just like we would expect. They charge for services and make a profit. You do not see many designer clothing companies randomly handing out free shirts. You do not see many banners hanging over restaurant doors saying, "Free Steak Dinner! No Strings Attached!" Yet, Dr. Ignatius Piazza does stuff like this. All the time. He is the founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute near Las Vegas, Nevada. Every year, Dr. Piazza gives away millions of dollars of free and discounted firearms training because he feels so strongly that every gun owning law abiding citizen should have the best gun training possible. He has even offered an entirely free submachine gun course!



One would expect to get free or discounted services from a not so great place. Of course a restaurant that serves gross food is going to give away "FREE" breadsticks with the purchase of a meal. This is why it is so surprising to see Dr. Piazza giving away his time, money and energy. He doesn't need to lure us in. His company is ranked so high that it is the undisputed leader in firearms training. Front Sight has at least doubled in size every year since its opening in April of 1996. Students walk away from their first course at Front Sight with skills that surpass those of 99% of the gun owning population. The testimonials from Dr. Piazza's students baffle me every time I read them. He has people who served in the military for twenty plus years raving about how they received better training from Front Sight in ONE WEEKEND than they did in their entire term of duty. It just goes to show that Dr. Piazza really does want to spread the word about the importance of firearms training and self defense training. He wants to reach the world ? and he is spending his own money to do it.

One of my personal favorite services of Dr. Piazza is his "Helping Those Who Help Others" program. He wants to encourage charities, so he offers his services and time to the people that offer up themselves to help people in need. He has a large list of charities that he helps, including children's charities, civil liberty charities, educational charities, police charities and military charities, among several others. His current "Charity of the Month" is Operation Family Fund, which is a charity that works hard to help the families of those who have lost their lives or physical abilities while fighting to protect our freedoms during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

As Front Sight continues to grow exponentially, they want to continue to make a positive difference in the world. It is simple. The bigger they get, the more they give. Dr. Piazza's philanthropic ways are incredible. It is no wonder so many people call him the Millionaire Patriot.
